Hopefully because we are getting some rest for the playoffs

Patch working an OL usually doesn't go so well

Pears is going to get Kap killed.. He is that bad. It's going to be a torturous season unless we fix the right side of the OLINE. I can not believe Baalke is sleeping well at all.. THE NIGHTMARE!!!

with some help from a TE also

And we will sprint out, roll out, bootleg a lot too. Like the offense we saw under Gabbert this preseason. That should help the OL a LOT.

Bingo. I'm sure the next time we play a dynamic speed pass rusher going up against Pears, we'll widen him out (like Brown was doing the last game) but provide additional PP inside with either a RB, FB or TE.
I agree wth most of the above, but wonder, if Pears is all that bad at pass pro, why not play Brown who is going to inherit the role anyway?
I think it's the right call not forcing Brown into starting before he's ready. Pears is going to have a short leash but is a veteran and should be out there to start. Let Brown get a few more weeks of practice and getting into shape then will take over

Because Anthony Davis has requested that they simply find someone to keep his spot warm for him.

Right, i believe Brown should start and learn from mistakes. Pears is at the he wilk ever be and Brown is an unknown.

Brown needs more work, you don't do that to a QB

But we have before and are doing that with Pears

They are going to try and use scheme to protect the right side of the line. Pears should be more dependable from a scheme standpoint. If that fails, they might make a change.

I almost see Dorsey in the same boat. If AA continues to make strides and split with Dorsey and if the arrow continues up, at some point HE may become the primary starter at LDE with Dorsey in split duties.

If Pears struggles, I see him as the stopgap to allow Brown to continue to develop and grow into a potential starter role as well. But he needs more time so let's hope Pears can lock it down at a high level for a while.
I was crying inside about our offensive line, but then I was watching the Chiefs' game yesterday.... They have 5 new starters on their line. A 2nd round rookie center. A 6th round rookie guard. A right tackle that was cut a week ago by the Ravens.

So what the f**k are we crying about with our O-line

Not all rookies are created equal.

Yeah, but most teams dont have the luck of having lineman like staley and boone. If devey and pears can just be average we are going to be fine. Thats what yesterday reminded me of watching the seahawks and rams game. Man those guys are not good up front.
My biggest gripe is that there are 3 players that are playing out of position:

Boone should be the RT
Looney should be the RG
Martin should be the C

In addition, thomas should be the LG.

Pears should NEVER see the field. But we're going to find out how they do tonight.

Although the chiefs have 5 new lineman,I think those chiefs o lineman were playing their natural positions. (Correct me if I am wrong.
