Right, i believe Brown should start and learn from mistakes. Pears is at the he wilk ever be and Brown is an unknown.

Brown needs more work, you don't do that to a QB

But we have before and are doing that with Pears

They are going to try and use scheme to protect the right side of the line. Pears should be more dependable from a scheme standpoint. If that fails, they might make a change.

I almost see Dorsey in the same boat. If AA continues to make strides and split with Dorsey and if the arrow continues up, at some point HE may become the primary starter at LDE with Dorsey in split duties.

If Pears struggles, I see him as the stopgap to allow Brown to continue to develop and grow into a potential starter role as well. But he needs more time so let's hope Pears can lock it down at a high level for a while.

It'll be interesting to see how they use Armstead this year. I think it seems intuitive that he'd collapse the pocket in the nickle package, considering DD's departure, but AA also has experience taking on doubles in a base 3-4.

I'm curious as well. He can DO everything. But I'm more curious to see if they use the highest of his skill sets or try to use him in areas where they want him to grow more before feeling confident in him being a well rounded, developed 3-4 DE.
If the Cards and chiefs lines held up perfectly fine yesterday ours will have no excuse. They better come to play

The Cards line played against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. The Saints are just that bad, they were ranked among the worst against both the pass and the run last year and have seemingly only gotten worse. The only thinking keeping New Orleans from descending back into full paper bag over the head 'Aints status is Drew Brees. That entire organization is a disaster, their front office has been awful, awful, awful, the defensive coaching doesn't inspire any sort of hope, their defense in general lacks talent, they are just a hot mess right now.

The Chiefs did a great job against an aggressive defensive front but they also used a lot smart offense, quick throws, keeping the defense off balance, doing everything possible scheme-wise to minimize the impact of their OL.

Yeah and they also acquired a rookie center from the Ravens a week ago.

Hold on. You can use scheme to minimize the impact of a flawed personnel grouping? Inconceivable.
I hope Pears has a good outing. But if he gets beaten like a drum and puts kap's life in danger, I would hope JT would put Brown in instead. I am hoping for Pears to play well, but if he just flat can't handle it, JT will protect his QB...unlike our former HC, who somehow didn't seem to notice those 52 sacks, 100 to 150 hits and so on.

Itwas incredibly refreshing to hear JT on his not playing kap in PS more. "IF Staley isn't in there, neither is kap" . Finally, a HC who knows to protect his qb. If we have one of our starting OLs not protect kap, and screw up several times, I honestly believe JT changes them out for "Next man up".

There is NO REASON Brown should not be starting the rest of the season. This season is OVER. PEARS SUCKS! He should not have a paid job playing football....including in Cananda!
Looked good in the 1 play I noticed him in

I could see the med staff (under Baalke's oreders) being intentionally "conservative" with Martin's recovery. If Pears needs to play G (WHERE is Thomas, again?), then Brown gets more reps at RT. I haven't rewatched all of his running plays yet, but Brown sure looked good in pass pro, and he picked up stunts like it was easy.

It felt to me like Gabbert got confused when he had so much time to throw the football. .Trenton Brown looks like a huge upgraded right tackle.
Just based on eyeball test without rewatching, I thought he looked great and comfortable.
