I focused on him quite a bit in this game. I was impressed. He appeared to miss a couple of pickups but in general had a good game. Will check to see how PFF graded him.
I agree he has the talent. I am always curious to see how the pros grade pros.
The knock on Brown seemed to be a lack of work ethic, not a lack of talent.

I was impressed as well. If Davis comes back we could have two (heavy) weights who are highly talented fighting for the RT spot. No more Adam Snyder, Jonathan Martin or Erik Pears anymore!

Seemed to play good today. Should have been playing long before now so we knew for sure what we have in him & he would also have more experience too

Definitely a hell of a lot better than Pears. Wish we played him earlier, could have had more time to evaluate him. But he looks good for a 7th Rd rookie.

His pass blocking is unreal for a rookie. Looks like we found a steal here.

Agreed. If he can get down the stunts and all line calls coupled with another off season conditioning program, he could be a steal on that Pinion deal.

he had a pretty good game, right now hes a better pass blocker then run blocker. he did miss a assignment and got harris lit up but beyond that he was fantastic for a rookie making his first start. watching him play makes me wonder what the hell this coaching staff has been doing since ota's? hes clearly better then pears and doesnt get manhandled out there. this gives me hope that thomas also has a future, this coaching staff freaking sucks sticking with pears/devey for so long

He looked great but I'd like to see him taking some G snaps because with AD coming back next year one of them will have to slide inside.

Without question you move Davis inside. Browns's strength is pass blocking while Davis' strength is run blocking so why would you slide Brown inside?

we still can not pass on Tunsil if he's there.. our rookie Brown can either lock up the RT for the next 5 years if we can develop him and Tunsil can replace the overrated Pro Bowler in Staley..
Boone should be a part of the packer (Reid & Boone) trade during the off-season.. if Davis do comeback, let him ease his way in at the RG position..

He's actually supposedly lost a lot of weight which is common for a lot of OL that retire. You would assume it is the opposite but it isn't.
So he will need to put back some pounds and get ready to play guard.
