This past year I know he was injured, but I felt his vibe and it's not a team first vibe. He's like a Vernon pre Singletary personality.

I hope Tomsula sees through his crap and benches him in favor of Trent.

what the hell are you talking about,, you felt his vibe,,, good god with people around here.. a 7th rounder has a good week in may mini camp and you are ready to dump a great, never hurt, difference maker, young OL guy cuz you hope this guy will work out,,,,, my lord

I dont understand... is this guy good or not?
Let's see this kid get through a camp, be a replacement, play a quarter, play a half if he gets that far. Give him a chance to get where he wants to be. We are trying to get him to a certain weight. Let's see if he can get through that first, before we talk about starting a game. He is no where near being combat ready.

Barring health AD is a pro bowl right tackle. He is one of the nastiest players in the league an just 25 years old. He will be s miner for a long long time, no way a 7th round pick takes his spot
I want a great O line. Don't care who is in it. But I suspect a Pro Bowler might just be able to beat out a rookie 7th round pick.

Remember Boone... people dog him but is still a great guard... he was a project but does. Well what he was taught. Im hope Brown is gem found in the later round

you want Trent Brown to start because of one article?

Talk about an overreaction

Agree. Davis doesn't have an attitude issue at all in my opinion. He said things like they were last season, that Roman sucked. His injury had A LOT to do with how awful our OL was. Replacing him with a rookie would be an enormous mistake. He's still extremely young and if healthy, he is one of the better RT's in the league.
I hope Trenton Brown develops nicely.
The biggest knock on him was his weight and effort right?
Him saying that his bad eating habits were the cause of his bad play can be worrisome but is also easily fixable.
Let's hope we can get him right.
Can't teach 6'8 and that frame.
Lots of clay to mold as Tomsula has said.
Hopefully Trent Brown becomes a solid piece of the O-Line whether as a starter (less than likely in the immediate future) or as a back-up player.

Boone was a first or second round talent that went undrafted because of character concerns.

Trent Brown is more athletic than Boone (NFL combine:40 yard dash) and I would love to see him try out at guard cause realistically he cant handle the edge rushers in this league. But imagine him pulling and pancaking anybody in his path.......Boone is starting to wear thin on us and needs to be reminded that we gave him a chance when nobody wanted him.
he could be our future RT but is no where near ready. He will do the kilgore path...sit and watch for his rookie contract and we extend him for cheap and make him a start Year 5
A.davis would be a pro-bowl caliber player, if he was playing RG which looks like his better position, he struggles to much in pass protection.
