This is TO's middle finger to all of those people, screw them.
TO is one of the greatest of all time at his position. He's a first ballot HOFer, end of story. Y'all can cry about his attitude until the cows come home but TO deserves to be in it.
Middle finger doe after they voted him in and say came to their senses.
I really have no much more to say. As of yesterday I tried to stay humble with TO after someone said I should die due to me saying TO needed to humble himself imo lol.
Whatevs. Do you TO.

I'm certainly on his side for this if the f**king NFL won't spring for players getting into their own f**king Hall. It's RIDICULOUS that the NFL doesn't give more money to former players (pensions) given the obscene amount of money the NFL makes and not all former players are rich given their medical concerns. It's total BS that players have to spring for their own HOF parties or find "sponsors" or beg their former teams. Sure TO may not have been the best money manager of his personal finances but the NFL should spring for their own Hall ceremony party.
b******t.

Can't feel bad after how many millions he earned in his career? Had to be over 100.

I liked Terrell Owens before the catch against Green Bay. After that he became a douche. He needs mental help and I hope he eventually gets it.

He was such a nice, humble guy when he first came into the league. He literally was Willie Beamen from Any Given Sunday.
I may not care for him, but he was a very hard worker and a great player who was a blast to watch play.

How long did Jerry Kramer wait to get in? Somewhere between 45-50 years, and he was arguably the best guard of his generation. When he was informed he cried, no sour grapes, just gratitude and humility. Two things TO never possessed.

It's not for me about how much he made - it's about the NFL paying for its own enshrinement celebration.
I get it. But dude can have an autograph signing and make more than enough to cover. It's not the case doe of why he's not gonna attend. Let's be honest.

T.O. probably will never realize that HE has been HIS own worst enemy. I'm sure people tried to talk to him and help him but, he thought he was smarter and better than everyone else. You can't go through life without listening AND listening to the right people. You must also understand that no matter how smart your are or THINK you are, there is always someone else smarter. If he had kept his mouth shut, had a better agent, and better support (on his reality show, his "team" allowed him to purchase a pair of diamond studs for himself that cost $105,000 while he had properties in foreclosure) maybe he would have enough money to go to the ceremony for his HOF induction

I agree with Irvin:
On NFL Total Access Thursday, Hall of Famer Michael Irvin expressed his frustration on why Owens decided not to attend.
"It's not about the voters. Don't give the voters the pleasure of knowing that they meant that much to you that when you finally got in, you're not even showing up," Irvin said. "And the whole while you campaigned about being in. When he did not get in, he and I were shooting a commercial together one time and he came to the commercial with a Hall of Fame gold jacket with all of his records on it. So you went and made a made-up gold jacket , but you won't show up to get the real gold jacket? It's something beyond my capabilities of understanding up here."

Oh God I hate agreeing with Irvin.

Preaching the gospelOriginally posted by Niners99:It seems that some of you werent paying close attention in 2003, or werent fans yet. Owens spit directly into the face of the 49ers' franchise on his way out the door. He was a total A-Hole that threw a tantrum to get traded after his agent screwed up the free agency paperwork. The Ravens offered us a better pick, but he refused to go there, and told us we had to trade him to Philly.
Bill Walsh told Owens he needed to work on dropping less passes, and Owens said Walsh doesnt know what hes talking about.
Theres a reason we gave number 81 away the very next year after the 2nd best WR in 49ers history departed.
Owens burned his bridges big time. He blatantly insulted the 49ers, and Bill Walsh.
Screw that guy. You guys with your fond memories are forgetting the whole story.
