Nah, he's not going because he realizes that the hall of fame isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Used to be that the greats got in, now it's political and no one reacts to that better than T.O!!! Once again I'm glad he's not going.

Wrong, at least imo. The Hall of Fame wasn't ever just a stats only club. Sure stats were part of it, but only in the last few decades, when truly deserving players were less available, it has morphed into this stats only production machine/vote. IMO the Fall of Fame should be more than that. There should not be a mandatory number of inductees. The Hall of Fame is so diluted that being a member has lost a significant amount of sheen that was a part of being a member previously. The Hall Of Fame should be for the very best players in the league, both on and off the field. It should be for the best teammates, the best contributors to the sport. It should be for players who have lent something more than just on field performance. It should be for the true role models who are one because of the people they are, not because of the job they perform.

Someone in this thread posted this previously, but members like TO and Ray Lewis cheapen the HoF and are the bright shinning example of the loss of true meaning of just how special being a member of the HoF really is.

When has the HOF ever been about being a role model and great teammate? I would bet they have been inducting bad people since the beginning.

thats news to me..The only people i heard s**tting on him were the voters/sports writers ?
