I couldve sworn hes said he would play for the minimum so I think thats just the dude trying to get clicks because he knows TO wont get signed regardless
I remember seeing him drop clutch passes as a Cowboy tho.
Lol, I'd love to see a return. It'll take 1 hard hit to remind him how old he is.

yeah... that is the truth.

I bet TO could play a few snaps a week no problem, but we never really see guys that age in the NFL because of the week in week out nature of the game.

Watch old boxers, they often can run with younger guys for a few rounds, but past the 6th or 7th round they do in fact start to look old, and I don't care how much of a freak TO is the day after is gonna be different.

I love me some TO, no doubt about it.... he was robbed of the all time number 2 spot in the history books by himself. Rice and Owens being 1 and 2 didn't happened because of Owens personality , Physically he could have been the 2nd best WR all time because he had the right combination of physical gifts, skills, and most importantly opportunity. Never seen that much talent actually get blackballed before or since.

Yep. Prime TO was an absolute BEAST. Stiff arm after the catch was automatic. Such a monster. Never really seen a player like TO in his prime tbh.

Moss was much better. A different type of threat, no doubt, as TO was built perfectly for the West Coast offense. But Moss as a pure receiver was unstoppable…

I love this conversation...... In fact it is my favorite football conversation as a WR that ended getting moved to LBer because I was a s**t WR and fumbled too much to play RB.

The absolute truth is this....

We don't compare WRs to TEs even though many great TEs line up outside.

That is the same exact reason we should not truly compare Split Ends to Flankers and Slot WRs.

That is 100% why I said "and most importantly opportunity" in my post, and it was 100% because someone was going to CORRECTLY bring up Randy Moss.

Moss played the vast majority of his time at Split End, and that is completely different position to Flanker like Jerry Rice. While Owens played both he was at Flanker a ton.

Being 3 yards off the LOS and being put in motion a ton makes Flanker a much different position then being a Split End stuck on the LOS getting pressed most of the game.

Almost EVERY single play in the WCO (Rice and Owens) has TE dragging though the Linebackers to disrupt the flow of the defense and creating pockets for the Flanker to catch in space and get YAC.

Split-Ends almost ALWAYS have to get open on their own, they have to create their own YAC.... They don't get nearly as many of the easier short yardage TDs created by strong side play action.

Frankly Split End is just a much harder position, it is more physical... it is the non-glory WR position. The fact that Moss was as great as he was tells us how awesome moss was.

Rice was the best WR in history, and not surprising the best Flanker in the history of the NFL Moss was hands down the best Split-end in history and was in fact the "Rice of SEs"

That is not a take down of Owens, I love Owens and wish we had a WR that talented right now. Owens should have been the number 2 WR in history because of the opportunity he was given... I had no intention of short changing Moss on that.... I really agree Moss was insane would have beat out Owens with the same opportunity. I know he beat him out anyway.... I am just saying Rice-Moss-TO in that order, but TO could have beat Moss out because of opportunity.

If TO returned to the NFL he only needs 3 TDs to pass Moss for second most TDs all time... considering he lost 3-4 years of his career because he is toxic it shows how good he was.
