I don't know how you can say that when Joe Montana has a grand spanking total of 0 4,000 yard seasons. Steve Young had 2 4,000 yard seasons. We had one of the best passing attacks but so did Minnesota all of those years. If you want to say he'd have rings if he was here that's fine but better stats we weren't the 2007 New England Patriots either. Show me the time the 49ers threw for 4700 yards and 50 touchdowns. Otherwise both of them operated in 3,800 to 4,000 25-35 touchdown passing attacks. Yeah you can say he played with inconsistent qb play but I'd counter that and say he played in a more pass happy league. Him f*cking up in Minnesota and going to Oakland is his own problem. That's 3 years of his prime where he underachieved but that's on him too.

Odd that a 49er fan would make that comment about a Cowboy symbol being disrespected. Most long term 49er fans hate the Cowboys more than any other team.

Walsh teams won with class. This was the kind of ass hat behavior we detested in other teams. This was as classless as when the Seahawks had a turkey dinner on our 50yd line after beating us at home on Thanksgiving. If you don't understand that....

we also leg whipped and chop blocked people to death . now in fairness to seattle, the dips**ts at nbc really drove that, of course seattle could have just said now but you knew that was not going to happen
As for TO. Was he an ***? Sure, but he was also a great receiver for us. The idea that he sabotaged is laughable. Good God have you been paying attention the last decade. Our management sabotaged us. All TO did was get himself removed from the team with a toxic attitude. I think it's possible he was so cancerous in Philly that it brought them down but with us that was our own doing. We're the idiots who fired Mariucci because he didn't win enough and then replaced him with a clown. Amazing how history repeats itself.

Exactly. A player with this talent only comes around every few years. You would have thought they learned this when they traded Haley. TO wa nowhere near the locker room dysfunction as Haley, and even DeBartelo admitted getting rid of Haley was his biggest mistake.
TO was a total game changer. If you need proof, rewatch the greatest comeback ever against the giants. Who was part of all of the 2 point conversions and TD's needed to win that game?

Oh, I agree about Haley being a monster on the field. But after he took a dump in Hacksaws car, I don't think keeping him was an option at that point.

My biggest problem with this was the second time he did it. It was unnecessary. We were 0-3 at the time and finally put together a good game in what seemed like a year and all that could be talked about was TOs b******t. If memories serves, Jeff had 4 Tds passes and Garner had 200 yards rushing, but TO act put a cloud on it and we had to suspend him.

It also bit us in ass the following year, because that rematch became the super bowl for a s**tty Cowboy team and they put together an inspired performance and beat us. Ended up having to go to GB as opposed to playing them at the stick. TO just did dumb s**t sometimes and it's ashame because he was crazy talented. Also, I never got his issue with Mooch and Jeff......he built a while offense around Getting him the ball.
My favourite WR of all-time... One of the greats.

Odell my current favourite WR & diva too...

Yes but those chop blocks and leg whips were done to perfection!

The only problem with TO was that we didn't have a couple more players like him. Players who wanted to win no matter what, and who weren't against having some fun while they were at it.
Brett Favre, Terrell Owens, Alan Faneca finalists for HOF

One more round to go & T.O is in the HOF. (Fingers crossed)

#Favre&T.O.HOF2016 - Make it happen voters. (Two of the game's biggest talents & personalities, what a class this could be.)
