When this thread first came about months ago I was vocal about my dislike of TO. In all actuality is was 2003 and on TO I had a real big problem with. 1996-2002 I really liked. In hindsight, I wish he would've got to play with Steve a little longer. He never respected Jeff and I never understood that. I think TO could've been a 10+ year niner if Steve and some veteran leadership could've stuck around, but that was not feasible with the cap hell we strapped ourselves with.

In my closet I got the home , away, and gold alternate T.O jerseys. Was my favorite player growing up. Every monday at school we'd copy the new TD celebrations he'd do on Sundays

Wish we would've kept Jerry Rice a little longer to keep T.O in check. maybe things would've of gotten as ugly as they did

T.O. is an egotistical moron who is full of himself. He and his MOUTH should win him an award but not into the HOF.
He created problems wherever he went because he was always pointing fingers at players (usually the QB) when things didn't go right.
HE IS NOT A TEAM PLAYER. Never was!

TO was quickly my favorite and almost as quickly my most hated 49er. The guy could have been so much more had he had his head on straight. I am happy for him and won't hold a grudge, but I am happy he never came back to play for the 49ers after the way he left.

He'll make it in eventually. The sports writers will make him wait a few years though, because that's how the game works.

Unfortunate, he deserves to be in the HOF already

yet they let Marvin Harrison in? with his legit off the field issues? T.O. was a more dangerous WR and a better blocker on the field.
Marvin Harrison a Hall finalist; slaying victim's kin still seek answers
Her husband, Horace, who described himself as a "football nut," will do what he always does whenever someone on television mentions Harrison: He will either turn down the volume or change the channel, just so she doesn't hear. Her daughter Nya, 16, will fight that familiar feeling she sometimes gets - that her older brother will just bound through the back door, unannounced, and scoop her up for a hug.
Whoever Dwight "Pop" Dixon was when he was on the streets - before and after a gun registered to Harrison was used to shoot Dixon in April 2008, before Dixon was shot again in July 2009 and died less than two months later - he was not that person when he walked into that rowhouse. And whoever Marvin Harrison is to so many of those media members and Hall of Fame voters and football fans, he is someone else entirely to Pearl Bronson.
An eyewitness, Robert Nixon, was also shot and injured, according to police. In his statement to police - which he began by saying that he feared for his safety in coming forward - Nixon identified Harrison as the shooter, as the only person at the scene holding a gun. Police said they matched bullet casings found at the scene to a gun registered to Harrison.
