Once again, you people telling Owens to stop saying these despicable HOF voters who are voting against him, many of whom were directly responsible for ruining his reputation with their deceitful tactics, don't have his respect, are proving the very point about this being everything that is wrong with the HOF selection process.

What you're saying is that in order to get into the HOF, Owens needs to kiss their rear ends, because if he doesn't, they won't LIKE him, and the HOF is all about them LIKING you.

Yes they were not on the same team any longer but it kind of goes to the lack of class from TO . I mean, why even go there unless it is meant to ridicule an ex teammate. I agree that Owens should eventually be in the HOF but I dont like him and really pretty happy that he has to wait a bit.

When Owens left for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004, he did an interview with Playboy and was asked if Garcia was gay. Owens' comments caused a media firestorm:

Here's the thing about T.O...as great of a receiver as he was, he just couldn't keep his big mouth shut. He still can't. Behavior does matter...you can be the greatest player in the world, but if you tend to be a jerk, you can't expect HOF voters to trip over themselves to elect him to the Hall. He'll get in...at some point. But saying the things he's saying isn't going to help him whatsoever. There comes a point your ranting falls on deaf ears...so the best strategy then is to shut your mouth for a change. Show people you've matured...continuously ranting isn't helping your cause.

Putting words in my mouth. The only message I have been trying to convey regarding the Jeff Garcia comments is that he was NOT "throwing his teammate under the bus" or "speaking ill about a teammate" like most people believe.
