Do you take AD or Borland back if they Un-retire?

Never turn down valuable talent. If your team can't use them another team can.

Depending on the circumstances and each case for me. Borland was adamnant about not coming back, so he would be a hypocrite, so no. AD has always said he wants to step away from the game and see how he feels (in other words it is no different than a player suffering any other injury like an ACL tear, and concussions are a physical injury btw.

In either case both men were honest. I don't blame them for wanting to protect themselves.

Its ONLY a game, a human beings health is more important. After all who is going to look after them? You? Me? The league? Answer is no ()especially the league which has been in denial about concussions.. They are like Aldon, they have to be responsible for their own actions. I understand how people may feel, we are passionate about the game and the team represents the city and its people or people that invest emotions in the team for what ever reason, so they (fan) may feel like they are the ones being betrayed. Look at Jr. Seau and others. and how it has cost them, or Ali. Each person has to decide what/how/why you want in life and what is important. Some people its money and fame, others its the game and so forth.

In a nutshell, I would not call them quiters or a cancer (dangerous to the game perhaps because they are making people stop and think).
I'd take them back.
Phuck yeah!
Have you read any of the VERY tough things Borland has been saying about football lately. he's become the poster boy for banning football.

So what is the difference between a player signing a 1 year contract like Pear and leaving if they do good/great for another team? Concussions are no different than any other physical injury like an ACL tear except it is harder to quantify or gage. The thing about is, AD still belongs to us, doesn't count against the cap or the roster. His case is that he needed to get better.

A friend got into a car accident and suffered a concussion, doctor didn't want him to go back to work for 3 weeks. Even after he comes back, he needs to take 10 minute breaks each hour. Players are colliding into each other with reckless abandon during the season, especially on the line.

We had a say in the contract Pears signed, we didn't have a say in Borlands retirement.

I read several of the articles. One of the troubling things he said had nothing to do with concussions. As a rookie, he talked about a former player advising the rookies and representing the leaque told him to get a fall guy for when they get in trouble and have it blamed on them. WTF?

Forget Borland. He quit. Fine. Now just go away.

You are missing the point. He played (Borland), but not to the term of the contract, same with older players, except older players may stop because the bodies won't let them. It is just that Borland was so young. I don't want Borland, because he is now adamnant against football and to me he would be a hypocrite. Davis is another matter. If a player comes back to sign and plays only for one year but contributes then I am okay, better than a player who has a long term contract and does nothing.
In a heartbeat.
Yes but Borland isn't going to un-retire.
Yup.
Borland is dead to me

Davis said he's coming back, we'll see what happens.
f**k Borland. We get it, you are scared for your health. Shut the f**k up already. It's a dangerous sport that's why you get paid more than doctors, lawyers, etc. Stop milking it dude.
