He is an underachiever but I think he might be worth it over one of our receivers. Maybe the sixth spot. I really like whites potential at wide receiver but I think Hunter might be a better prospect

The Baalke special. Smelter to I.R.

Smith
Patton
Kerley
Burbridge
White
Anderson

Assuming smelter goes to IR we can try to stash white on the ps and get hunter.
If smelter isn't on IR and makes the 53, we are in more of a predicament. I still say get hunter

I see little advantage to putting Smelter on IR and delaying his development another year. I'd rather cut him and try to sign him to the PS. If he goes elsewhere, not a huge problem to just move on.

Plus I don't know that the NFL will let him go on IR since he suited up for the last game and hasn't incurred a new injury. Not sure how it works. But PUP seems like a possibility.

Rand Getlin @Rand_Getlin
I'm told the #Titans will release RB/KR Dexter McCluster.

We don't have room at RB for McCluster, but we certainly could use PR/KR help.

Kerley has already been added for that.

He's our only legitimate slot WR. He'll be on the field a ton. Would hate to see him go down because of a ST play.
Titans cleaning house. Waived Poutasi who I wanted the 49ers to draft last year. Also moved on from Antuan Woods who I thought looked good at NT for them.

s**t. Too late. We would have to definitely put Taylor on the practice squad and hope he doesn't get picked and probably release Draughn to make room for him on the roster which I don't mind doing

ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk
Chiefs release QB Aaron Murray per source.

I thought he'd be better.
Browns cut Pierre Desir. Remember the Niners being connected to him during the pre draft work outs a few years back. Baalke liked his length. (pause)
When do they announce the waiver wire pickups?

They have Hogan, Bray, and Foles. It will be interesting to see if they keep Foles or not. Bray has been up and down and Hogan might make it to the PS

damn. too bad we have to many CBs already. He was one of the small school kids that had great size, speed, and strength and did good at the senior bowl. i thought i heard he was making real progress

He looked a lot better than Justin Gilbert as a rookie. Interesting. A lot of these "thr next Richard Sherman" types have flushed out.
