Aldon Smith

I'm not necessarily mad at Aldon for signing, but the Raider for serving as an enabler for Aldons alcoholism. And that goes for any team who was considering signing him, because now if Aldon plays and is great he's without a doubt gonna feel like he's on top of the world again and "party". And that will lead to him drinking again and god forbid this time instead of driving and crashing into a tree he crashes into another human being and causes his death or both their deaths. And then a whole s**tfest blows up on why Aldon was let back in the league after being a repeat offender and alcoholic.

Aldon Smith = missed all or some of 3 seasons with rehab, shooting guns in air, smashing into trees, smashing into parked cars.

Oh look at you. You had a crystal ball and knew Aldon would struggle with drinking issues that would derail his once promising, HOF career. Lol what a joke

I was one of those.

Maddogg was right. Draft Watt, let Ray Mac walk, have brooks and harylson play OLB with Watt and Justin Smith at bookends.

Imagine if thats what we did.

the hindsight b******t needs to stop. From a skill standpoint he was the right pick. One of the best pass rushers to ever lace them up and was a huge factor in transforming this D from good to elite. This team was a hair away from three straight SBs after this guy was drafted and now everyone wants to pile on and say how right they were and so and so is a superior player because Aldon developed a drinking problem that derailed his career. From a skill standpoint he could/can go toe to toe with anyone, and that includes the flawless JJ Watt. Pathetic. (Not directed at you specifically young2rice)

Raiders might end up being decent this season...and by decent I mean 7-9 or 8-8 which means the Galactic Champions in the eyes of Raider fans.

I'm confused. Where in that "psych test" does it say he is prone to alcoholism ? This test is b******t. Talks about his poor work ethic? By all accounts his work ethic was exemplary . My post was also more addressing him as a player and from a skill standpoint

Yes

Let's see if undercover raider fan Tim Kawakami and the bay area media ride the raiders hard for having a criminal playing on their team like they did us with McDonald.

This
If we keep him, we're bad, but anyone else can sign him. What ever happened to the good old days when the league would work together and blackball a dude?

It seems a lot of posters have a crystal ball these days.

Tom Brady had to go to court to play. Aldon Smith gets arrested for a DUI, his FIFTH arrest since 2012 and is ELIGIBLE to play.

'Murica.

Thanks Obama.

He will probably be suspended later, but still.

Totally. Gotta agree with Stephen A. Smith on his take.

Aldon expected to only get 20 snaps today but 21 months in jail.

When do you think the league will come down with their discipline? Since they are letting him play I have to assume it won't be till after legal issues are sorted out, which means next year.
Hopefully he is suspended for the year on Monday
Should be interesting to see what he is able to do during those 20 snaps he is expected to get today.
