"Accident waiting to happen . . .

. . . just wait!!
I can see them using DeMarcus Lawrence in the Justin Smith Role with Aldon on the same side. It could be effective for them IF Aldon truly has cleaned up his act and sobered up like Maiocco claims he has.He has been out of football since the middle of the 2015 season but he really hasnt played a meaningful snap since 2013.Cowboys are desperate for pass rush. It will be interesting to see how he plays.

He must be out of money. I bet he gets arrested within a year of his first paycheck.

How could he not be. All those attorney's fees and rehab clinics will suck up your bankroll pretty quick. That doesn't even consider his party lifestyle that costs a fortune. I wonder what he can do after being out of football for 5 years.

They would reopen the Rock just for us.

He could've been an all time great if he just stayed out of trouble. He was an absolute beast with Justin Smith.

This is very much the truth. I had forgotten just how much impact Justin had on Aldon's game. Once Justin stepped away, Aldon's production dropped. He wasn't nearly as effective.

I am really surprised that the Cowboys are doing this. Are they really that desperate and bad to sign someone who hasn't played in five years?

They have cap problems after signing Elliot and Prescott. They have a couple of other players that are getting top dollar so they have a lot of money wrapped up in about 4 or 5 players. They needed an edge rusher and Aldon was there. After all, Dallas has a lot of bars.

Seriously, Aldon really is a tragic story. He came from a good family so it wasn't his background that caused him to go in the wrong direction. He was a true talent and could have been one of the greats if it wasn't for that dreaded disease that has ruined more than one athletes career.

If he isnt sticking his wiener in that one chick anymore he should do ok. The V can make you do f-cked up things.
If he can't make a comeback with the Boys then he should change his name Alldone Smith.
Aldon should be just fine, his body has had a lot of time to heal and build strength. He was a freak of nature, so he should be good starting out as a situational pass rush specialist like he did his rookie season.

The Dallas Cowboys are either going to be a dark horse Super Bowl team when the NFL resumes or the 2007-2008 49ers.
Did you guys see his contract? $0 guaranteed.

I'm sure Aldon is on a very short, short, short leash as well.
Best of luck to him. No matter how his career goes I hope he's truly in a better place in regards to his alcoholism. That's a rough battle.
