It's one thing when a guy screws up once or even twice, but some guys get into a death spiral that they can't seem to escape. Some really amazing talent has been totally wasted over the years because of addiction. Ryan Leaf. Todd Marinovich. Darryl Strawberry. Dwight Gooden. Just to name a few.
