Draft value. We traded back and got AA and we also got a free pick which we took Bell with and also got the Charger's high 5th in the next draft.

Peter's is still a good player but isn't the sharpest tool in the shed...personal fouls, brain farts on key 3rd downs, worked in the RZ, etc.

All risk or reward.

If he ever matures mentally and learns to play more patient and disciplined, he'll be legit especially behind that pass rush!
Besides, Acker is a 6th rounder and is way more disciplined and has 3 INT's and 2 (easy) dropped INT's as well and missed some time. And this behind 0 pass rush and an odd scheme to boot.

Acker has no bearing on this conversation and is awful.

peters is starting in what may be a top 3 secondary in nfl

he may have had a rough start but he is getting a lot of PBU and int and that defense isnt giving up many points
Peters sucks

Lol. He sure played good yesterday against some good WR/TE's.

They STILL would have been able to take Peters and Blake Bell regardless, it's not a one or the other conversation.

We don't know that. Baalke chose AA over Peters either way. What we got and who Baalke chose is reality. You're speaking in hypotheticals.

That said, I did like Peters too.

But if we're talking hypocriticals, how many INT's does he have behind our front 7 (no pass rush) and in Mangini's scheme? 2-3?

So same as Acker and Brock.

But a guy allowing the 2nd most yards in the league and 7 tds is great?
Peters is a beast. Highly physical corner with speed and GREAT ball skills. For those who actually watch him play and don't look at the stat sheets, he's the real deal.

Corner back is one of the toughest positions to play in as a rookie and sure he'll get attacked by the opposing offenses. That is expected. I think he's handled his own.

They got bell because they had a extra pick...that the fact of it.

Very good young corner with tons of promise but still a ways to go to being a "beast".

Yea he has some int's and pass breakups but also has given up 7 TD's. Through week 12 opposing QB's had an 87.6 rating throwing at him, and 6 QB's have had a rating of over 100 targeting Peters. Landry Jones and Hoyer/Mallett each threw for over 100 yards against Peters in their matchups. If the Chiefs make the playoffs I bet Dalton is salivating at the opportunity to go against him again, in their first meeting Dalton was 4/4 for 81 yards a TD and a passer rating of 158.3.
Peters is giving up a ridiculous 7 tds and qb rating against him. Tons of yards so stop defending him UNTIL he is good. Dam. At least AA is in the top of the league as a pass rusher according to PFF. wow. Denial is not only a river in Egypt.
