The only team with serious interest was the Rams.

Well, there you have it.

The dude is just bad news. He might have top CB skills, but the rest of it will kill your locker room and cost you games. No, thank you.
Aside from the Niners, all season long, I rooted for the team that had no players kneeling during the National Anthem. Kind of like country over party. Anecdotal, for sure, but it seemed those teams almost always won. Neither Super Bowl team had kneelers. Reid got rid of Peters because of locker room cohesion. Most guys do not want to publically insult their country. It doesn't make for team unity.

I know Jed is not in that camp, but I'm not so sure about John and Kyle, and if they don't control the roster, they will soon be gone, and we will be screwed.

I'm all for having a team that is all about football.

We've got a good thing going. Let's play football.
Great. Now Peters is just a hop skip jump away from his cousin Marshawn Lynch. There's no telling what kinda trouble those two knuckleheads will get into being in CA.
Peters, if you can read this. ABCmouse.com will work for you bro, glad you're not a niner! Holla!

If Andy Reid doesn't want to deal with the guy, you know it has to be bad. Plus, Lynch is already having to salvage the Foster debacle, no way we were going to trade for Peters whichever way you slice it, not to mention the truckload of picks that was going to cost. Is simple common sense.

Now, let's concentrate on the non-head cases cornerbacks, there should be a ton of them hitting free agency. Borrowing a phrase from Aaron Rodgers, "relax".

Solid post!
Rather get a Kyle Fuller, he can have normal conversations without using gangster Ebonics.

I don't think it (trading peters) was about politics or social opinions...just my two cents. I agree on let's play football.
Any news on what the chiefs will receive..?
I'm ok with him going to the Rams because it gives Lynch a good shot at signing Trumaine Johnson. After looking at the other prime CB's in FA, TJ trumps them all in size and production. A huge bonus is he's the kind of vet who'll be good for Witherspoon to play alongside. His knowledge of the Rams' offense could be beneficial to Saleh's defense. He'll be pricey...but he's earned that stature. He hails from northern CA, so that's another plus...probably grew up a Niner fan. Go get him, Lynch!

Yeah how DARE these uppity blacks make a social statement (remember police brutality and shoddy treatment isn't politics)! How dare they!!!!

That's awesome...top 5 CB on his rookie deal and only 1 team interested in trading for him.

Yeah no possible way someone else could not have him as a top 5 guy.

Never said the guy sucked but you and others are totally overreacting to 49ers not getting him like he's the best corner out there and a total shutdown guy.

Johnson will be on the market now for sure. The question is: Is he worth the price? He is coming off a less than stellar year.

Kyle Fuller and Rashaan Melvin may also be available. Both had better years and will cost less.
