The Lambs just traded for Jimmy G's and Garcon's new b!tch!!
The overreaction to this trade is pretty funny and predictable. I said this yesterday and will say it again... Peters is a very good player but given the issues with Foster it was never going to happen for Peters coming to the Niners. Can you imagine potentially wasting ANOTHER top pick on a guy with emotional problems? I would be SO pissed if the Niners had traded their 1st round pick in a deal with KC.

What this trade does is open up a real possibility for Trumaine Johnson in free agency without having to give away important draft picks. The Niners will surely be able to draft Ward or Jackson as well if that is the direction they want to go.

At the end of the day there was just ONE team that was willing to meet KCs demands. I would think it would be concerning that 29 teams werent interested in Peters and that the Chiefs were SO willing to move a real good player still on his rookie deal.

Time will tell but I think it was the smart move to pass on this one.

Yup, he's either going to be suspended and not playing or getting picked on by Jimmy. He won't be able to keep his cool.
How do we still not know what the Chiefs got holy ****

Rumored to be 2018 3rd and 6th and 2019 2nd and 5th. That would be a huge win for the Rams if that's true

Kyle Fuller and Rashaan Melvin may also be available. Both had better years and will cost less.

Not really.

4 valuable draft picks over 2 years for a player that may cost what they weren't willing to play Trumaine Johnson AND may cost as much as their other franchise player, Aaron Donald?

A player as volatile as Peters? I'd be nervous about giving him $16M-$17M/yr.

Im not really arguing with you but lets live in perspective. We just gave 28M to a guy with less than half a season of playing time experience

Not Ian Rapoport. Not Adam Schefter. Not Chris Mortenson. You know, the guys who are pretty much the guys who have this information first. I dont think there is a reputable site reporting anything.

if the rams cant get a commitment from peters to extend his contract, the price to obtain him might be alot lower than expected

They own his rights for at least two more seasons and that's without the franchise tag coming into play.

If that's the case that's a pretty good trade for the Ram but still one I wouldn't want us to make. Too many valuable draft picks to throw at a guy who couldn't make it through his rookie deal despite being very talented.

When the front office guys who drafted him didn't want him....huge red flag.
