Kyle Fuller and Rashaan Melvin may also be available. Both had better years and will cost less.
Not really.

Do you disagree with the cost or the fact Fuller and Melvin ranked higher than Johnson?
PFF ranking is somewhat general, however, it does give a relative ranking. Among all CBs, Melvin was ranked #17, Fuller was ranked #22, while Johnson was #68. TBH, I was surprised Johnson was that low but it is what it is.
Johnson's deal was $16,7M/yr. He will be lucky to get that again, IMO. Fuller and Melvin will get rich but $11-13M is about where they will wind up, plus incentives.

Chiefs radio station circulating rumours that the deal may include a player coming back for Peters ala the Alex smith trade. Kind of odd that details of the trade have not fully surfaced yet, perhaps chiefs are holding out for more in return.

All I know is that Rams fans don't seem to care if Johnson comes back or not. He's a guy who is really up and down, good game, terrible game, good game, terrible game, gets beat far too often to be considered a premium CB or to be paid like one. I would rather the 49ers look elsewhere, especially if they can get a guy who has had similar performances for less money.

Lol he's one of the best corners in the game. Yes he gets beat (just like every other DB) but he creates more TOs than any player in the game. He's been a main contributor to more wins than he has losses.
We like to tell ourselves he's not that good, because Baalke took Amstrad over him and now he's on the Rams, but he's one of the best in the game at his position, just accept it already.
