So Peters says that it came down to the Rams and the 49ers. Add him to the list of players we were "close" to getting. Clearly he goes on to saying he wanted to play for the Rams, but still.

What the hell? Is that confirmed? I can't believe that. Looks like he was going to the Rams along with Talib. I guess it helps when you have a defensive coordinator, a real one

huh? Peters was traded for. he had no choice. and we never made an offer for him.

49ers had a deal in place for Talib but it fell through because he was only willing to play for the Pats or the Rams. He has familiarity with both schemes and Phillips/Belichick and was not willing to play for a new coach/new scheme.

Excusing away not acquiring top talent via trade makes sense if it's just one player. Now -- for a myriad of reasons -- we're known to have missed out on several.

My buddy is a Rams fan and he said Peters has been getting burned all season and that he's tired of him. Armstead > Peters
