SAVAGE.

Wow,

lol, man I was watching that game when that play happened.

Peters was calling for safety coverage and Brees saw it and snapped it before the D could adjust. Peters then got burned

But according to this thread, Peters is horrible and would be the Niners worst DB.

He's had 9 bad weeks

Hey, it's ok, he admitted to getting beat.

I guess all Ward and Witherspoon have to do is admit to getting beat and state their commitment to fixing it and all will be well. I'f it were one or even two bad games, for a guy with Peters's resume...sure. But this is kind of becoming a habit. Also, why exactly did Kansas City part with him again?

Yeah might wonna check his droy and pro bowls before you talk.

So we giving credit for what happened years ago now? By that standard, Navarro Bowman should be a starting ILB on this team.

This. Lol.

Horrendous comparison.
Has Marcus Peters played at his 2015-2016 form this year? Or even last year? If he were at his 2015-2016 form last year, do you think he still might be playing for Kansas City?

And according to this thread, players should be burned for making mistakes. Although this may have been a bad game, maybe his worse game ever, he's had a few bad games this season. Fortunately he is on a team that covers it all up.

man we need a WR like Thomas.

He was still top 20 last season, however his behavior was a problem. Once KC was able to secure Kendall Fuller from Washington in the Smith deal, it was just a matter of time before Peters was sent out. IOW, no way he stayed in KC.

Fuller is currently #20 at PFF. Peters is #106.

Yes it was a good move. But look at the play-call. Rams send 6,with 5 in coverage. Peters on Saints best WR. 4 cover players to play man-on-man and are apparently told to defend the short yardage pass, you see everyone bot the corner on the bottom engage the recievers near the line and play it close to the line, defending the short pass. Brees has time and as a result can pick either the TE (?) or Thomas. The single-high safety is stuck covering Thomas so its an easy decision to go to the TE(?).

I don't know what the Rams were thinking on that playcall. Basically a gamble they would pressure Brees into a short 5-10yard pass. As soon as Brees has time, doesn't matter what Peters does. Play is over, TD.

Still better than Armstead

With all the talent he has around him, I'm sorry, 200 + yards? He has a good D-line in front of him, linebackers, a good corner opposite of him, good safeties, and an offense that can score. The table has been set for him to do well. And it's not just this game. Not to say Armstead is anything close to a good player, but in 2018, they both look like trash. And even with that, Armstead has had some moments here and there this season. So much so someone might give him a contract this offseason should we finally let him go.

Armstead is still top 10 in run defense among edge defenders. (More than just a few moments.)

Peters is #27 in run defense among CBs but near the very bottom in pass defense.

Just saying...

Michael Thomas will light his ass up again if Wade Phillips leaves him man'd up again.
