Wow. Fans are great like that. Denial is strong. I'm so glad we have jimmy g vs Goff. Jimmy g can easily be great and elite. Goff can be solid and possible a very good qb when not under pressure.

"Boy genius" was an embryo spawned from Shanny's sack.

Goff is probably equivalent to Jimmy's strap.

Can't wait to see them come back down to earth next season.
If Whitworth retires I bet the rams try to get Trent brown. Such a worthless team with how they went all in with trades and free agency.

I guess when Shanny was dominating with the Falcons and even kicking ass that first year with RG3, the fans/media couldn't appreciate it because he wasn't a head coach. Those were some very legitimate boy wonder offenses that took the league by storm......what Shanahan did to the Seahawks in the playoffs with RG3 before he got hurt we never saw anything like that with Kap/Roman against Seattle. Then the 2016 campaign was everything and then some, sadly forgotten because they didn't get the chip......

Meanwhile McVay takes over a Rams team and makes them look really good and suddenly he's better than Shanny. GTFOH.

If Shanny were coaching the Rams right now, they would have won the SB plain and simple. Juice would be a Ram, and the Rams would not have been embarrassed the way they were.

Shanny >> McVay as a playcaller to anyone who understands the game.

Even Belichick said about his father that nobody was harder to game plan for. Now you're telling me a 21 year old kid is better than those two?

I actually did see a Ram fan on that forum quote that Goff was #2 worst NFL QB under pressure per PFF.

It is something to make note of. That crazy quick throw he did near the end of the Saints game seems to be the outlier to Goff under pressure.

I still think when it's all said and done he's a notably better QB than Wilson when not facing pressure/adversity. I'm glad Goff's not a Hawk.

They only have the 49ers beat as far as cap goes in terms of QB, and not for much longer.....1 or 2 seasons max.

Gurley is an expensive RB who underperformed on the biggest stage. Donald is great certainly......but expensive too. Those CBs aren't cheap either.

The Rams have a great core of guys to get you 11+ wins a year it seems (for now)......but their championship mettle we'll have to see. They didn't just lose to the Patriots this year, but Bears and Eagles, not to mention the struggle against the Lions. Better hope their next SB appearance they don't face the Broncos among other teams....

Again, we'll need to see what they are made of. In fairness to them, Seattle couldn't beat the Patriots either, and their defense was legitimately all world when they faced them.......

Lynch may not have had the scrimmage yards or MVP like season, but his consistent dependability was remarkable in those days. He wasn't going to let Wilson completely drown, which would have happened if the Seahawks had 35 yards rushing.

Lol
The Rams' offense gave the Patriots' defense a big advantage in Super Bowl LIII by running exactly what New England was expecting.

That's the word from Patriots linebacker Kyle Van Noy, who said on Pardon My Take that he was shocked by the way the Rams did everything the Patriots had prepared for, and never tried to surprise them by trying something different.

"I couldn't believe that," Van Noy said. "They really didn't do one wrinkle. I was like, 'What the hell?' They've got so many good players. They've got so many things they've done all year, and the one play they gave us which was a wrinkle was the [Brandin Cooks] screen that hit for a little bit. And that was it."

Two weeks to prepare, knowing Belichick is studying his ass off and the Rams come out, line up, and play it straight up. That's terrible. Then again, how many different things can you do when all you play is 3 WR sets and it's already been 18 games. This just shows how well the PHI coach was at preparing his offense in the previous SB.
