i was calling a 3-game losing streak as soon as the Bucs beat the Rams... but this will be a tough win for the 9ers, on the road, on a short week and now without Joos

I know man he literally blows holes open with his blocks. Rams are gonna try to take the run away and make Jimmy throw but Shanny has a better game plan figured out without Joos. Seattle ran all over them with no fullback and a weaker O line

Yeah but we don't have a runner like Carson. That dude was getting at least 3 yards after first contact.
If we only score 3 pts, I'll take back all my 3 pts jokes.

Nobody will remember a regular season game where a team only scored 3 points, but the Rams 3 points will always be in history books as tied for the least amount of points scored in a super bowl unless someone gets shutout or only a safety

That's why even in the odd year they're good, they're still the same old sorry ass rams.
I'm concerned about 49ers, but Rams should be too........they have their own injury concerns to worry about.

Not only is Shanahan's run scheme better than McVay's, but he's less dependent on having a star execute it. Breida/Coleman/Mostert > Gurley when viewed as pure production, and now with Gurley out, the gap is even bigger.

I think the game is going to come down to how well the Rams can run the ball for their offense, and the 49ers ability to get protection for Jimmy.

These are good points. Something that hasn't been brought up yet, but we could see in tomorrow's game:

Don't be surprised to see Shanahan pull a page from the Walsh and Ditka playbooks and utilize a defensive lineman to blow open holes in the running game. I wouldn't be shocked to see the likes of Buckner line up at fullback in short yardage situations, like the way Ditka used Refrigerator Perry. While I can't remember Walsh using a defensive lineman at the fullback position, I do know he put a guard there. Walsh used Guy McIntyre as a fullback in the 1984 NFC Championship Game.

Ditka was so impressed with what Walsh had done the year prior, that he started using Perry at fullback in 1985.

When you're shorthanded, as the 49ers will be, you play the cards you've been dealt. The 49ers have a lot of talent on that defensive line. Why not utilize one of those number one picks as a fullback?

This is going to be bad...abusing animals is never good, but it's a rivalry
Hope the Rams enjoyed their 15 minutes of fame! Same old sorry ass Rams!
