Montana didn't start. Brady didn't start. It's not the end of a career of you don't start day 1.
Not to say Fisher and Snead are all that.

But, it's kinda funny a Niner fan is the one asking why someone in the FO isn't fired yet.

I think Goff should sit all year, and I also like the pick.

Last QB drafted #1 not to start... JaMarcus Russell....

If you paid a king's ransom for something, are you going to take care of it or put it in a place where it can get ruined?

Fisher doing the right thing. Goff showing a lot of good signs. I would tuck him away, build up his weaknesses and work him in slowly.

But that one coach is right, Goff does look a little like Montana in the way he throws. Was going to say that a couple weeks ago...but it was too soon. f**ken Rams got a good one.

The Overall number 1 pick should not be inactive on game days unless he's injured

Yes, he should. Goff should not play at all until ready. Rams ruined Bradford, let's hope they don't do what you just said. Kinda a simple minded concept that pick order decides game play.

Exactly. And, it's the smart plan with him.

No he shouldn't, lol even NFL history has shown that. Until he's ready lol...you're talking about the number 1 overall pick here not some project.

Lol a fkn project as your first pick overall that you traded away a kings ransoms for

Winston started, mariotta started, luck started....goof in street clothes

Think he's the first #1 QB not to start their 1st game since Jamarcus....he didn't turn out too well. Alex didn't start right away either IIRC but he rounded into a very capable QB though. We'll see where Goff lands in that wide spectrum.

Goff will be the first ever to be a healthy scratch (inactive) number overall pick to start a season. At least Alex smith suited up on game days

Yeah definitely, it's majorly f**ked. For some reason I thought Palmer was inactive in his first game but I know they had an actual legitimate starter, not Case Keenum and they didn't trade the farm to move up....
