No way. Mostert would probably come back to haunt us. Anyway, the Rams have no 1st round pick in 2022 or 2023 because of the Stafford trade.

The 2022 draft is going to be quiet for the NFC West. Only the Cards have a 1st round pick. Seattle trade theirs to the Jets.

Don't worry, we'll be trading someone for a first in the offseason.

Now let's play who could it be til then.

Buckner is gone, who's next? Greenlaw?
There are a lot of good but aging vet running backs available. The Rams will be fine unfortunately. This really sucks for Akers though.

Now I am at a crossroads. Part of me really wants to see Gore's career continue..... but I do not want to see him on the Rams.

The Rams will not "be fine" and an aging veteran RB will not be a replacement. Akers is really good and isn't that easily replaced. Their best best is to find some younger guys and go massively RB by committee.
Rams will probably trade a 1st 2027 pick for a rb now
I would usually be more happy that finally the Rams suffer some injures but I have Akers on a few of my fantasy teams.

This is why I always waited until late August to have drafts.
The Rams don't have the depth we do in my opinion. Injuries to starters like Akers hurt much more than if it happened to our starter.
Henderson was just as good as Akers and a better receiving option. They'll probably be fine.

lol no. he's nowhere near as explosive as Akers.

Meh. I think Henderson is plenty explosive. Just not a workhorse back like Akers would have been.

100%. This is where it's been mentioned the Rams are walking a tightrope with the way they've handled their roster construction, traded away key draft capital, and spent a huge amount of $ at certain positions and now are up against it. Their margin for error was already razor thin...now, Akers is down unfortunately (I hate seeing good talent go down - division rival or not).

Akers > Henderson, cmon now.

Akers was primed to break out this year.

i guess they shoulda kept Malcom Brown for insurance.
They'll sign Adrian Peterson or some other vet out there
