Henderson isn't horrible but they aren't close. It's a big drop off

I never said they were close to the same talent. I just said Henderson is plenty explosive he's just not the all around player that Akers is.

Watch Rams wait to see which RB we cut or place on the practice squad. They know we can't keep them all.

But thats like saying Matt breida is explosive. He is, doesn't mean he will be good. Point being this is a pretty big injury for the Rams and they have no one, as of now, to fill those shoes

Lol I'm agreeing with you. Being explosive doesn't automatically mean a player is good. I think Henderson is a decent player but like Brieda, not going to produce at the level Akers would have over 17 games.

100%. This is where it's been mentioned the Rams are walking a tightrope with the way they've handled their roster construction, traded away key draft capital, and spent a huge amount of $ at certain positions and now are up against it. Their margin for error was already razor thin...now, Akers is down unfortunately (I hate seeing good talent go down - division rival or not).

Akers was the real deal and you are exactly right regarding the Rams' roster construction.

Henderson was just as good as Akers and a better receiving option. They'll probably be fine.

Henderson is a drop off, but he was still a good back. I was at the game in 2019 when he torched us on that first drive for close to 70 yards. Like you said he is the better receiving back but I think Akers would eventually get better at that part of his game. Hate seeing injuries but the rams were the healthiest team in the nfl last year I believe and are always one of the healthiest teams in the nfl.

im just glad it's not us for a change (although losing Moore hurts)

This is exactly what I was thinking. JaMycal Hasty is about to have a big year for the Rams.
Maybe they can bring back Eric Dickerson or Marshall Faulk.

Marshall Faulk in a McVay or Shanny offense would be disgusting.
Also, for those of you that were curious about Henderson compared to Akers they almost had identical yards I believe it was close to 625 however Henderson had a greater yards per carry. So the drop off is not as big as everyone may say. It's not even close to the injuries that the 49ers had last year even though we have better depth, our players were just all pros and pro bowl players (Bosa Ford Sherman Kittle) so I don't really I think that's a devastating injury to their chances of getting into the playoffs. Not even close

You forgot Jimmy G in that list.
Next up Matt Stafford
Maybe this is the season the Rams luck runs out when it comes to avoiding injuries.
