McVay walking away from football anytime soon would be wild and a big loss for the sport. The dude is an elite coach and a trailblazer being the youngest head coach ever hired.

Going on TV means equivalent or better pay with far fewer hours to work. He could step away for 5 or even 10 years and still be reasonably young enough to coach for 15-20 more years if he wanted.

I wouldn't go that far, top coaches make 10-15 mil a year in the NFL. Few guys in sports media are paid that much. Gruden was making about 10 mil a year I believe, and he was one of the highest if not the highest paid tv personality at ESPN.
It sounds like the boy wonder ain't going anywhere.

Should have maintained the charade for a bit longer, use it as leverage to negotiate to extension.

The dude, who turned this clown franchise into one of the perennial SB contenders, is 4 quarters from being a Superbowl champion. I think he's got all the leverage he needs. Besides, Stan Kroenke runs the Rams like the Yankees. I doubt money will be an issue when it comes to an extension for McVay.

Tony Romo is making around $18 million a year on a ten year contract with CBS.

He really was an exception, there was a huge bidding war for him.

Come again? What did he say?
Superbowl Champion Sean McVay*

Ya. Happy for Stafford though. Being in that hell hole for all those years, it's gonna been gratifying for him winning this.

Fuk Stafford too, they aren't that good, the refs blew that 3rd down holding call.
