Maybe, but the thing is the common refrain is that we're fans "living in the past" because it's been that long since we won a ring and their team looks like crap this year and that's all they have to lean on.
I mean, I guess brag a little. But if I'm them I'm not all that optimistic about the present or near future. Don't know what their cap is/will be like.
As a Rams fan not living in CA or STL, I think it's obvious that the lack of fan base mostly has to do with them leaving and then coming back to LA. The future hardcore fanbase are kids right now. So it'll be a while, if ever, before they can outnumber fans of teams like the Cowboys, Niners, and Steelers.
It is tough to brag when we dropped off so much, not just from last year but the previous years. That being said, when being 3-4 at this point in the season is the worst your team has been in 6 years, that means your team/organization's culture is pretty damn good
I will never hate the rams as much as I do the seahawks
I'd probably agree, but since they won the Super Bowl last year they certainly have a group of fans who act like Seattle fans when they had the Legion of Boom. I mean we have some who probably egg them on but no matter what you beat a team 8 times out of 9 and you're dominating them. Yeah, they won the most important game by three points in which we had a QB with a bad throwing thumb and shoulder, no running game, a LT with a bad wheel, a replacement level RT blocking a Hall of Famer, and a dropped gimme pick by Tartt. Plus, when Jimmy's healthy, we at least stay right in the thick of things and the Rams seem to be imploding. I suppose they could rebound still but it doesn't look good.
One thing that is bearing out this year in all of our Jimmy debates is even the best QB's need help. I don't know that I would call Stafford even one of the best but he's good but having a beat up line, no running game, and only one reliable target is making them look pretty bad. Green Bay looks bad. Tampa has looked bad. Even yesterday, everyone wanted to recreate Brady as the GOAT but it was soft/bad defense as much as anything. And yes, he took advantage of it.
