Could be wrong but even if the Niners had put in a claim along with the Rams, Rams still get him. According to Pro Football Network, Niners were 27th on the waiver wire, Rams 3rd.

This, and I mean come on. Of course Baker has a chance to be a lot better than Purdy. But there are also reasons why Cleveland didn't really want him any more and why Carolina thought it better to go with guys like PJ Walker and Sam Darnold. He has to do it consistently and against good teams.

And nothing against him even though he comes off as a douchebag but give him credit for what he did. But also the Raiders absolutely blew that game. I mean they literally had it won not almost just the entirety of the game but they literally intercept him and that means 2, maybe 3 kneel downs and the game is literally over. Nope, pass interference on a totally different player. They sack him, which wouldn't have ended the game. Nope, 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty so we're actually going to give the Rams a few yards forward on a sack.

It reminded me, not exactly the same, but it still reminded me of that Bengals playoff game years ago where they had it in hand, and Burfict and Pacman Jones pull their stupid crap and the Steelers wind up winning.

But yeah, the Niners could have put a claim in on him and still wouldn't have gotten him. Them's the rules.

It would not have mattered, Rams were ahead of us in waivers. We rockin' with Brock.

Baker is very inconsistent. He's also kind of a pain in the ass. I give him credit for last night though. Yes the Raiders committed a couple of dumb penalties but he took advantage of them. His passes were really accurate. The winiing TD pass traveled about 30-35 yard sin the air and was right on the money. Perfect throw.

Once again we see an NFL team travel the length of the field in less than 2 minutes and score the winning TD. They couldn't move the ball the entire game up until then. They say the NFL teams don't play prevent defenses but I find it hard to understand why teams move the ball so much easier at the end of the game if the defenses aren't playing loser.

Bosa hates his guts. And it's not just a competitive type hatred. Plus Baker is not a good leader and he would just crumble.

rams are 4th on the waiver wire. Though i think it wouldve been a good idea its all moot. the rams would have always gotten him

Stats and on field play shows he's worse than Purdy.

knowing our luck, Baker will play MVP level football to finish the season and the only bad game will be against the Seahawks where he looks like the Baker we all expect and the hawks win.

McVay retirement rumors start heating up. And then Goodell and the refs start getting desperate to try and get him to stay
