imo, nfl is not for long. saleh got escorted by security out of the NYJ offices, and that's how this goes. so morris knows he's cooked, if he can't get heat on the passer. he lands two quick twitch athletes, to get after it.

meanwhile, the rams know the end is nigh for stafford. they are playing the long game, getting multiple round 1 picks for what should be a strong QB class next year.

that's how i see it

rams went from eff them picks to stockpiling picks and drafting pretty well tbh. this is a deep draft and they have 8 more selection. rams are a day 1 winner in my book, without drafting a player.

The contract adjustment on Stafford was released. 84M/2 total contract.

  • Cash: From 27M to 44M, a raise of 17M. 40M/44M guaranteed-at-signing.
  • Cap Hit - 49.67M to 47.47M, saving 2.2M.

  • Cash: From 30M to 40M, a raise of 10M.

Essentially borrowing 33.6M in cap space from 2027 to pay for this raise.
