We're in the second year of a rebuild everybody expected to take at least 3 or 4. If Guapo wasnt here nobody would be expecting to compete with them next year anyway. Also, if Guapo wasnt here, I doubt the Rams be doing everything they can to beef their D.
They re gonna be tough but too many people are acting like the Rams are the only team we play. If we lose both to the Rams and sweep the division We're in ok shape. If we sweep the Rams but lose to everybody else what good does beating the Rams do?
Either way the games have to be played.

Im pretty impressed with what they have done so far. They loaded up to win now since Goff, Gurley and the others are on cheap contracts. Will be interesting to see if they live up to expectations.

Or, let's not. I'm a Rams fan.

I'm indifferent about all of this, but more annoyed that the NFL Network, or that little Millenial closet queen on GMFB with the high voice is just gonna be a Rams cheerleader all year-long. The NFL is so desperate to market the Rams that they can't face reality McVay is a cuck run by Bum's son.

a little overboard with the rhetoric but i agree Kay Adams is huge homer. The last few years she was saying Cutler was a top 5 QB because she is a Bears fan and she was dead serious. Hard to take homer analyst serious.

Good signing for the Rams. Not gonna lie I'm going to be afraid for Jimmy with his cheap shot ass out there.
Having said that when was the last time the FA winner won the SB?

Just announced on NFL network, the Rams will have over $100 MM in cap space next year. How in the hell can that be?
If anyone has any feedback on this that would be great.
These dudes are going to dominate for awhile.

Extremely misleading stat to reference - Rams are showing that much in 2019 because they have virtually their entire roster on rookie contracts or not under any contract for that year.
Players Not Under Contract In 2019: Joyner, Suh, Gurley, Aaron Donald, 4 out of their 5 starting OL, etc.
On Rookie Contract: Gurley, Goff, Peters (all of which will be making atleast 2 to 3x what they currently do by 2019/2020
49ers on the other hand have their QB contract, McKinnon and Richburg all hevaily front loaded so only going down in value plus the majority of the team under contract so while we have similar 2019 cap totals, they couldn't be any more different. For reference, Jimmy will be making $20m or less per year going forward and Goff will go from $7M to $30M, just not reflected yet, so not even close to apples to apples.

We need to wait until the draft, UDFA and the signing of released players is done before we get worked up. All wasted energy right now.

We are one year behind the rams. We have our QB but have massive holes on D still. I expect to be competitive with the rams and everyone else in the west moving forward.

Exactly. For their sake they better win it this year, cause if they don't they put themselves in cap hell for no reason.

Thats a going to be a goood rams defense, i think their offense takes a step back cause goff aint no jimmy G. Tho Rams have a good chance at winning the division again. But even if Niners have to go on the road to LA in the playoffs, the niners can win there. Rams dont really have that home field advantage atmosphere, probably gonna have lots of red n gold in the crowd.

Untrue. There have been some statistics out there showing the top spenders in FA over the last few seasons are seeing much better returns on investments than past decades. Most of the top teams in the playoffs the last few seasons have also been the biggest spenders in FA.
