lol Thanks for taking one for the team. I traded Gurley for Antonio Brown at week 4 last year.

The Los Angeles Rams have made their first-round pick - No. 23 overall - available for such a deal, according to NFLN's Steve Wyche.
More to come.

Where are they getting all this money? Cuz they'll need to pay OBD even if its for a year.

It seems weird that they are going all in now but it's understandable - new city, somewhat fickle fans, and a $5 billion project in the works that will need to sell some seats/PSLs.
We are in Year 2 of a six year project. We will be competitive this year but the pressure is on LA, not us. They have a two year window and then will need to pay Donald, Gurley, Goff, Peters, Suh and all the rest. If nothing else it'll be fun to watch.

I think the league in general benefits from having strong divisions rather than having one team, like the Patriots for instance, dominating their Division year in and year out. McVay and Shanahan are both pretty young so this dance could be going on for a long time. We get Jimmy G. and they counter by picking up Peters and Talib. We work on improving the center of our line and they counter by signing Suh. People like to talk about the "rivalry" between Seattle and the Niners a few years ago but as I recall that was a case of Seattle mostly kicking our ass for the 4 years that Harbaugh was there. I think the Rams-Niners rivalry could be the real deal where each game is decided by one or two plays. Could make for some exciting football ahead. Go Niners!!

They do. Seems like an odd fit. I guess he plays DE?

Six years? No way. Two years should be plenty in this day and age and no coach has lasted more than four seasons under the Yorks.
With all that cap space they should be competitive in 2018 and serious contenders in 2019.

6 years! Wow..if your not playoffs by year 3, somethings wrong with your "plan".
Not directed to you WOO, But I'm not getting the solution to the rams defense at all?
Just run to the outside! Lol
Cause Wade Phillips, a SB winning DC didn't think of that!
I think a big solution to beat the Rams would be to beef up our defense..
Prevent them from scoring.
Then, may the best offensive gameplan win!

Can't really make an assessment on what the Niners are doing until the draft but, it looks like Lynch is making slow and deliberate moves (remember he and Shanny have 6 year contracts) to get back to prominence. I'm with it (Niners in NFCC game THIS year, not hardly) because it means not only is this an accession to the top but, to stay on top. My concern with Suh is that he is a dirty player and when JG starts to rip his team apart, Suh will take it upon himself to try and stop him with a cheap shot.
