The New York Giants have received several trade offers for receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and are listening, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
The Los Angeles Rams have made their first-round pick - No. 23 overall - available for such a deal, according to NFLN's Steve Wyche.
More to come.
Where are they getting all this money? Cuz they'll need to pay OBD even if its for a year.
cause they don't have to pay gurley, goff, donald yet.
It seems weird that they are going all in now but it's understandable - new city, somewhat fickle fans, and a $5 billion project in the works that will need to sell some seats/PSLs.
We are in Year 2 of a six year project. We will be competitive this year but the pressure is on LA, not us. They have a two year window and then will need to pay Donald, Gurley, Goff, Peters, Suh and all the rest. If nothing else it'll be fun to watch.
Six years? No way. Two years should be plenty in this day and age and no coach has lasted more than four seasons under the Yorks.
With all that cap space they should be competitive in 2018 and serious contenders in 2019.
This right here
Lol
6 years! Wow..if your not playoffs by year 3, somethings wrong with your "plan".
Not directed to you WOO, But I'm not getting the solution to the rams defense at all?
Just run to the outside! Lol
Cause Wade Phillips, a SB winning DC didn't think of that!
I think a big solution to beat the Rams would be to beef up our defense..
Prevent them from scoring.
Then, may the best offensive gameplan win!
Offense:
I am hoping that Shanahan sees more in McKinnon than I do and JG is as good as what we saw last year. Upgrading C will help but I think they need a stud G as well.
Defense:
Hope Sherman can come back from injury, get a pass rusher and hope Foster is not lost for more than 2 games. That Rams O is scary.
Bahahahaha. The Rams O is scary??? They didn't put up points against decent defenses...

Washington tried the same thing and look where it got them. U can't buy a Superbowl. They are literally beefing up both sides to try to keep pace with this Shannaroppolo connection. Those ego's will have that locker room blown up by mid season. That's without OBJ in there.

If anything the O took a step back with the loss of Watkins. Gurley will need to carry the load and hope Goff plays lights out. They are going to need to rely on their D to stop teams from scoring 20+.

No fear at all. We might split this season but ain't scared. The Rams will basically be the Jags of 2017 and look at what we did against them.
Rams ain't scaring anyone

A lot of people in this thread are just trying to convince themselves that this isn't deja Vu. Guys, face it, this is the Seahawks/49ers all over again. Two good teams (well, one good team and one maybe good team depending on how we address the numerous holes we still have post-FA) with very similar styles, but one is just better at it. They have the better coaches and the better talent overall. Our only hope is that JG is probably better than Goff (at least it looks like right now he is based on the very small sample size we have).

Rams are going all in this year, that's ok with me. If they don't get past the first round then this was all one epic expensive failure. They have so many people to pay it's not even funny. Gurley, Peters, Suh, Joyner, Goff, and Donald who will be the highest paid defensive player of all time.
