I suppose it shouldn't be too surprising that on a 49ers fan forum, a large number of the most frequent posters are incapable of thinking that the current regime could ever do anything wrong and that any other team or past regime could ever do anything right.

Two good teams (well, one good team and one maybe good team depending on how we address the numerous holes we still have post-FA) with very similar styles, but one is just better at it. They have the better coaches and the better talent overall. Our only hope is that JG is probably better than Goff (at least it looks like right now he is based on the very small sample size we have).
Agree on the first part. But better coaches? I'll certainly give you Wade over Saleh but Kyle is McVay's master. Agreed on the QB's. We certainly have the edge there. They do collectively have more talent but we're closing.

I agree, please change back. If the Niners had done what the Rams did this offseason, the Zone would be getting Championship tattoos. I find it interesting that the Rams seem to think their window is 1 or 2 years and it's now. Because after 2 years, their cap situation will untenable, and they'll follow the Seahawks.
Truer words have never been spoken. This is about as accurate as it gets.
And sus, scottie, JFG, and cc would be s**tting on the moves.
To me, these Rams moves haven't resulted in them being a much better team than they already were.
Lost their best redzone WR.
Traded their best outside pass rusher and signed Suh.
Lost their best CB and replaced him with a much older Talib.
Added Peters.
Their secondary and dline is improved, and their LB corps is bad. Their offense definitely took a little hit, and the offense is what failed them in the games vs good teams.
Also have to consider that this team is only going to have 1, maybe 2 seasons before it is too expensive to maintain.
They are making the flashy moves. Very rarely do those moves result in a ring.

Better coaches meaning overall a better staff, though I do think that Shanahan is a superior offensive coordinator to McVay. Remains to be seen if he's a better HC.

Yup. Address some of the bigger holes they have and it won't matter what the Rams do. They should be able to address much of this in the draft and I'd like to see a trade as well.

I have a certain player in mind lol...ahem Martavis Bryant . Wouldn't mind a trade back to accrue more picks as well as long as a player of need would still be there.
