The rams have dominated the offseason to this point there is no doubt about that, regardless of how much anyone criticizes their additions.

if you dare point it out. you are labeled a rams fan and a hater

Here's the thing...Cooks wasn't an elite WR last year. And the fact that he says if you actually watched the games you'd know better. I live in NE. My family are Pats fans. I watched all of their games last year. Cooks was a good deep threat but he left a ton of plays on the field with drops, bad moves or just not being in position where Brady expected him.

There is a reason he was traded and it wasn't because he was an elite WR. If the Pats felt he was one they would've kept him around.

He was traded because his contract is expiring at the end of the year.

That's the main reason but if the Pats felt he was an elite WR who fit perfectly into what they wanted to do they would've kept him and tried to extend him or tag and trade after the season.

Trust me I watched most of the games with my father in law and the words "wtf Cooks and god damnit Cooks" happened almost in every game.

I guess you can make a case that with deep ball receivers you'll have your bad with the good but he made terrible drops on non deep balls and in key situations. The Super Bowl I still have no idea wtf he was doing.

He may be a better fit with LA and we'll see how they use him. IMO they would've been better off keeping the pick but we'll see what happens.

Because he is not worth elite money in the Patriots eyes.
Let's hope that all this activity by the Rams sets up a vintage 1980's - 1990's style rivalry between them and the Niners. So many good memories of good Rams team getting beat by tremendous Niner teams during that era. The saying "same old Rams" after every defeat was always good to hear. Niners have the resources to make some strong moves of their own during the draft. Can't wait to see how things play out in the next couple of weeks.
Paper tigers is exactly what they are, crown em!
Brandin Cooks & you gave up ur 1st round pick

Yeah i would much rather face that overrated ass Cooks over Beckam any day of the week, small fries can only do so much, Beckam is just a freak

Good Job Lambs

Lol there's a reason the Patriots traded a first round pick for him and then received another first round when they decided to get rid of him. You don't trade 1st round picks for non elite receivers and the rest of what you said can be attributed to only being in that system for one season. Obviously the rams think he's an elite deeper threat WR I mean look at his average per reception last year. Imagine if they had targeted him more? Even with "the ton of plays he left on the field" still managed to go over 1000 yards Pretty damn elite to any non subjective thinker.

Btw the paper tiger thread title should be taken down, they're legit front runners.

If the 49ers don't improve the talent around Jimmy G they will go 6-10 again.

Is Cooks still on his rookie contract? Will be expensive to extend Cooks, Gurley, and others in the near future.

Pats knew they will not shell out a big contract on Cooks. So they traded him away for a 1st rounder.

The point was you called out other people for not watching the games and yet clearly it shows you're just looking at his numbers.

The games showed a lot of inconsistency and his talent alone should get him big numbers and so does the offense and QB named Brady. Playing with Brees in Payton's offense and with Brady in Belichicks/Mcdaniels' offense is a pretty nice QB/system mashup for Cooks. We'll see how the Rams use him. McVay is a very smart playcaller but is Goff on the level of Brady and Brees? Certainly not at this point.

And maybe to you elite WR means someone who can put up a lot yards but that's not what it means to me. He's a very good WR but his play in those games you told us we weren't watching was not elite play.

I expect elite WRs not not drop as many passes as he dropped, to not be in the wrong spot as many times as he was. And putting up 1000 yards with Tom Brady isn't a huge accomplishment as long as you're healthy and he's getting you the ball.

No offense but that's incredibly stupid. We haven't seen the offseason conclude for either team and we have no idea how the new teams will play on the field.

49ers have improved the talent around Jimmy G in part with just guys getting healthy and coming back. You realize most of those games Jimmy was out there without Garcon or Trent Brown? Two of the better players on the offense?

We added an upgrade at Center, the guard positions still have to sort themselves out but losing Fusco is far from concerning. We're essentially getting better on offense just by bringing back guys like Garcon and Brown and giving Jimmy more time to grow and learn the offense and work on chemistry with the receivers we already have.

On defense if the rookies keep growing and we plug in some holes in the draft the defense can do some good things. They may not be top 10 caliber but it's a work in progress.

Not to mention even if the Rams sweep us...why do those 2 games doom us to a 6-10 season? How many injuries did this team have last year? How many young players out there? Just adding Jimmy G to that beat up and youth full team got us 5 wins in a row to close out the season. Yet now we're going 6-10 again because the Rams went all in?

How does that compute?
