Lol there's a reason the Patriots traded a first round pick for him and then received another first round when they decided to get rid of him. You don't trade 1st round picks for non elite receivers and the rest of what you said can be attributed to only being in that system for one season. Obviously the rams think he's an elite deeper threat WR I mean look at his average per reception last year. Imagine if they had targeted him more? Even with "the ton of plays he left on the field" still managed to go over 1000 yards Pretty damn elite to any non subjective thinker.

The point was you called out other people for not watching the games and yet clearly it shows you're just looking at his numbers.

The games showed a lot of inconsistency and his talent alone should get him big numbers and so does the offense and QB named Brady. Playing with Brees in Payton's offense and with Brady in Belichicks/Mcdaniels' offense is a pretty nice QB/system mashup for Cooks. We'll see how the Rams use him. McVay is a very smart playcaller but is Goff on the level of Brady and Brees? Certainly not at this point.

And maybe to you elite WR means someone who can put up a lot yards but that's not what it means to me. He's a very good WR but his play in those games you told us we weren't watching was not elite play.

I expect elite WRs not not drop as many passes as he dropped, to not be in the wrong spot as many times as he was. And putting up 1000 yards with Tom Brady isn't a huge accomplishment as long as you're healthy and he's getting you the ball.

Terrell Owens dropped a lot of passes, I'm guessing he wasn't elite to you either You're entitled to your opinions, clearly the professionals think he's elite. That's all that matters.

And btw I never "called out anyone for not watching games" If you reread what I actually posted all I said was if you watched the games you can tell he's a difference maker, which any expert will tell you is true. Why do you think so many people think the outcome of the super bowl might've been different had he not been knocked out with a concussion so early?? Because he's a difference maker, end of story.

If the 49ers don't improve the talent around Jimmy G they will go 6-10 again.

No offense but that's incredibly stupid. We haven't seen the offseason conclude for either team and we have no idea how the new teams will play on the field.

49ers have improved the talent around Jimmy G in part with just guys getting healthy and coming back. You realize most of those games Jimmy was out there without Garcon or Trent Brown? Two of the better players on the offense?

We added an upgrade at Center, the guard positions still have to sort themselves out but losing Fusco is far from concerning. We're essentially getting better on offense just by bringing back guys like Garcon and Brown and giving Jimmy more time to grow and learn the offense and work on chemistry with the receivers we already have.

On defense if the rookies keep growing and we plug in some holes in the draft the defense can do some good things. They may not be top 10 caliber but it's a work in progress.

Not to mention even if the Rams sweep us...why do those 2 games doom us to a 6-10 season? How many injuries did this team have last year? How many young players out there? Just adding Jimmy G to that beat up and youth full team got us 5 wins in a row to close out the season. Yet now we're going 6-10 again because the Rams went all in?

How does that compute?

You don't think the Rams are legit front runners??

And you don't think the 49ers need to improve the talent around Jimmy G??

Same guy who thought Solomon Thomas was an amazing LEO/Pass rusher Not surprised.

Why yah gotta take it there? Why's it gotta get nasty?
3 87 Rams pick
4 111 Rams pick
4 135 Rams pick
4 136 Rams pick
6 176 Rams pick
6 183 Rams pick
6 194 Rams pick
6 195 Rams pick

Hopefully the dream team fails to win a SB and we can look back 2 years from now and see where it all went wrong.

On paper. Do you know what the term paper tiger means? They are paper tigers until proven otherwise. If they win the sb, the title can be changed.

if they dont win.... they are f'ed long term unless they get super lucky with their 3rd and 4th round picks. They need to hit now on all of them as solid starters or they will be in cap hell soon
I dont care what the Rams are doing there doing what they have to do and so are we. All that matters is what happens on the field. Im confident the 49er team will be ready to face them and it will be a good match up.

Here's the thing...Cooks wasn't an elite WR last year. And the fact that he says if you actually watched the games you'd know better. I live in NE. My family are Pats fans. I watched all of their games last year. Cooks was a good deep threat but he left a ton of plays on the field with drops, bad moves or just not being in position where Brady expected him.

There is a reason he was traded and it wasn't because he was an elite WR. If the Pats felt he was one they would've kept him around.

I mean,
Belichet threw a first round out for Cooks and so did "genius" McVay...

Obviously that would make him one Damn good receiver in there eyes.

I see the Rams going 13-3. But possibly choking in the playoffs. Losing to the Falcons last year, they played like they were shell-shocked. You can tell most of them never played in the playoffs before.

Seriously. We wish we had the rams' roster right now.

They are easily the favorites right now. That could change, sure. But it isn't even arguable at this point in time.

Does that make us Hope Tigers?

We look super bowl bound based on hope.

My point was let it play out before saying who's going to do what and as I said just getting healthy and the changes we made so far we're a better team and Rams don't mean jack chit outside of our games to us.

And I never said Thomas was an amazing Leo pass rusher. I said he has the tools to be one. He still has time though I'd rather we bring someone more suited for Leo and let Sully play big end and move to 3T on pass rush downs. But I'm sure you're batting 1.000 on your draft predictions right?

TO dropped passes but he also balled out all over the field. Cooks is not a receiver who can play all over and do whatever the way TO could. And for a guy who is used for quick hitters or deep balls...catching the ball is pretty key.

Talented kid but not elite. We'll see what he does with the Rams with Goff throwing to him instead of Brady and Brees. For all we know after the hit he took in the SB he could be tentative out there on the field.

Rams roster has a lot of big personalities and a young HC. They're walking into crazy expectations this season. SB or laughing stock essentially.

If they don't come out hitting on all cylinders then things can fall off track pretty quickly. One key injury and the team could panick. Our expectations are raised with Jimmy G but nowhere near what the Rams are playing with.

Lots of guys playing for contracts could be a good thing but if guys aren't making their numbers for those big deals or not hitting incentives....can they keep things going?

Lots of stuff goes into a football season. The most talented team doesn't always win.
