Hes gotta be pumped with the new additions. Instead of looking behind him and next to him and seeing Lee and Marsh, hes got Kwon and Ford. Massive upgrade in talent.

We need him not to disappear during key drives at end of games. Many games last year in the 4th qtr the other teams were driving with winning scores and buck was AWOL.

all the Solomon fans would be happy. They'd probably have him at the 3 technique if Buck was traded.

Then draft Quinin Williams who has better upside than buckner did coming out of college.

LOL, upside like Thomas.

Buckner is the second best interior lineman in the NFL.

astute observation.
Fans won't like it and it's hard to say it ,good guy good player but value is at all time high and if QW is there at 2 it's tjme for buck to go we thank you for your service it's strictly a business decision but if detrojt or Atlanta are offering their 1st it's time to move.. upgrade 3T and avoid the PR nightmare that comes when buck doesn't get the big extension, it's perfect harmony

He's a very good player and Im glad we have him. I just think a good WR could impact the offense more than Buck impacts the defense. Just an opinion, I could be wrong.

Understood but the defense needs Buck more than the offense needs OBJ IMO.

And if QW didn't end up being better than Buck it would be unforgiveable.

I agree. If glass jimmy gets hurt again you can still win with mullens if the defense is great. If the defense is average and jimmy is hurt and you just have obj I dont think we would win nearly as many games.

The defense should be top 5 this year with bosa, ford, buckner, thomas, and armstead. That should be a monster pass rush.

You didn't factor in who is at helm of DC.

This isn't a computer game. You don't start dismantling your team during the construction and particularly not by dumping your best players.

Some posts crack me up. I would consider QW a huge success if he plays up to DeFo's level. People act like QW is gonna walk in and challange Donald for best interior guy in the league. It's possible but I consider it more likely QW never reaches DeFo's level with how often first round picks disappoint.

The Buckner point actually makes some sense. If you take Q you don't draft him to be a nose tackle. That's like taking Randy Moss and saying yeah we already got a deep ball guy so we'll play you like Wes Welker. He's a 3 tech in the NFL which is where Buckner plays.

It's not out of the question though to move Buckner to big end. So I wouldn't say it can't work period.
We have a young DT on year 4 of his rookie deal producing at a pro bowl level & some of you think trading him away for a very impressive, but unproven, rookie draft pick is somehow a good idea?!? I love Williams but not at the expense of our best defensive player. Now, if Williams could play big end & unseat AA/Thomas, you'd have my attention
