What's the rush? We have this year plus the 5th year option and even after that you the franchise tag. That's 3 years of control, teams should maximize all the years before guaranteeing more money.

Biggest issue is when he's a UFA to be tagged so is Kittle, plus that year could be Gould's potential 3rd Tag from us. I'd rather lock our young talent up now before the market gets reset. Kittle won't be eligible until after 2019.
