People need to stop making up crap....Buck isn't going anywhere and he really doesn't have any reason to sign a deal until the season is done.

Leonard Williams
Chris Jones
Grady Jarrett
Sheldon Rankins
Kenny Clark etc

who are also gonna make bank, Chris Jones' contract will be something for SF to work off of. Buck is gonna get like $18M+ per yr all said and done.

Agreed. I think he goes ape s**t this year too with the presence of Ford and Bosa now. The longer we wait the more expensive he will become imo

Buckner is currently our best player. He plays hard and makes plays all game long.

I'm not worried if we don't extend him this offseason. We can control his rights for at least 3 more seasons. I think it's in the team and his best interest to wait until next offseason. Even if that means adding another 3 million per season.

Boy, I can't. DeFo has been a first class player and person since joining the team. He is the poster child of the kind of guys they want on that team. Pay the man his money!!!

I just don't understand this line of thinking. The man is a wrecking ball in the middle. He will only get better with the Edge players we now have. He is a top 4 DT in this league. Even with 2 first rounders, you're gambling. What realistically do you expect to get out of a gamble that offsets a top 4 DT? What about the continuity of the line? DT is not something that just clicks with most guys in the NFL (See Solly). And if it the $ being applied against the cap, the Niners are not up against the cap. They have it to spend on key positions of which Buckner is.

Buck is a superstar. Just not around the rest of the NFL yet because the team hasn't won enough for him to get superstar recognition nationally. But he is legitimately a superstar, any way you want to qualify that. He hasn't reached his ceiling yet, either.

Dude you keep saying this and it's totally wrong. I NEVER did cartwheels over AA. I actually had us getting Devante Parker in my mock (which turned out bad but I can admit it). You gotta stop with that nonsense.

I DID do cartwheels over drafting DeFo...he is without question a superstar and a top 5 DT. If he had been a FA, Buck would have been the 2nd highest paid DT in football. He just turned 25, has elite size/strength, and can handle the riggers of playing inside.
