Well if you're gonna pay him around $20 million per yr, he's got to be better than very good.

All-star/superstar imo all the same Aaron Donald changed the game, he's a generational talent.
you think Clowney is a SUPERSTAR?

The whole debate is ridiculous, but carry on! Clowney is a very, very good NFL Dlineman, and in the rare times that he and JJ Watt (former DPOY) have been healthy together, they form a formidable duo and give OCs headaches having to curtail their game plans to scheme against them.

Seriously, isn't that was that is about?

I never said anything about our Bucko NOT being good... I'm trying to make a point regarding the difference between a STAR and a SUPERSTAR..
Don't need Buckner to be better than Donald or a "superstar" or whatever.....

Just need him to be at least as good as he was in 2018, and that Saleh/Krocurek coaching allows the defense to improve.

I don't see how many teams will be able to block a healthy Ford/Buck/Solly/Bosa in obvious passing situations....

COULD NOT DISAGREE..

How many sacks you have on your mind for THE 4 HORSEMEN??
Does everything need some silly label or nickname with you?

Should I just call them... CARMAX??

Ford - Buick - Solora - Cruiser??

If he was healthy and could play more than one full season in 5 yrs...sure. I also don't think he's a top 5 pass rusher in this league. I do think Buck is a top 5 DT.
It sounds like what they are trying to say, very poorly I might add, is that a Superstar is a household name type of player. The fact that Buckner is an elite DT and in the top 3 of his position group doesn't make him this famous guy that everybody knows. Some might be actually saying hes not at the top of his position but, that would be a very weak argument indeed. He is an interior linemen. He is not playing the same game that Miller and Mack are. It is much more difficult to get sacks from his position and yet he still puts Qbs on their backs. I personally don't think Buck will ever get the credit he deserves even from our own fans.

He produces his first couple years and some fans say oh but, hes not famous and he has to do it for longer. Then as the team improves and somehow so does he, we'll get the excuses. Well he wouldn't put up those numbers without Bosa and Ford. I think even if Buck puts up 15 plus sacks next year he will still be relatively unknown to the casual fan and also be overshadowed by our shiny new edge rushers. Type of fans when in a bar and everybody's throwin jabs, these guys are agreeing with the enemy. Backwards!

yeah I agree. I think some people have a different idea of what a superstar is. IF SF was winning games he would be a much morea known commodity.

Buckner is one of the best defensive lineman in the league. Stud.
