Yeah. Outside that TFL he didn't have a particularly good game, but that's alright. We got 15 more

Go rewatch the game Defo was dominant.

Don't bother, some people watches the games through the stat sheets.

Trolling or for real?

Outside of Donald or Fletcher Cox you can argue Buckner is easily the next guy in line at DT.

No, otherwise he would have.

Here's how this goes down. You ask a question to which you've already settled on the answer. I name anybody I want. You say something about how uninformed I am and that's that. Name literally all the pro bowl DL that didn't need to get help to get in the pro bowl. There's your list.

You don't know who they are, lol.

hahahaha love the 'zone

Well, after your convincing arguments, now I am convinced he is neither a top 2 interior d lineman nor the best player on the 49ers.

Oh, a twist!

I'll admit, DeFo didn't have a splashy game. And I do think he's overrated by a lot of people on here. But here's the thing: He doesn't need to be BY or Stubby—not with the new D-line we have. Even if he just plays solid, he will get opportunities to flash because there is simply too much talent on the front for everyone to be blocked consistently. If Ford or Bosa have a slow game, it's entirely possible that someone like DeFo or Arik will have a huge one.

He had a better season last year than Bryant Young ever did, lol.

Thats debatable. Young had a couple years that i think were better. I would still say so far that i would take 1. Justin Smith 2. BY 3. Buckner. Buckner does have a shot to be better than BY though. Not there yet.

Agree. I think Buckner's issue is consistency. Justin Smith brought it every game. Peak BY did as well. He certainly has all the tools to get there. And now he has the horses next to him. Just has to do it.

This was the issue last year.. sure he had 12 sacks, but if you watched all the games, he's no where to be found on some quarters...... and this is why he's yet a SUPERSTAR !!!

Bosa has a higher motor than DeFo. I don't se DeFo improving that aspect of his game if he hasn't done so yet. You either have the motor or you don't. But do expect him to get some games with 2+ sacks when he finds himself up against an inferior blocker. He will be quiet other games.

Yup. Has plenty of work to do in that regard.

Ford and Bosa may earn the "superstar" status before Buckner. Not only about sacks. It's about consistent impact.

He's not wrong. DeFo is not a superstar yet.

Good player he needs to stack 3 solid seasons before we call him star player.

buck is a very good player but after one very good year. a superstar? no
THANK YOU THANK YOU....

sad to say, that we have a bunch of FANS here who really believe that Bucko is a SUPERSTAR after being drafted.

For the record, I've been a lot lower on Buckner than most. I've pointed out that he's been very inconsistent in his pad level which make him inconsistent in defending the run. I think his size works against him in that area but when he's rushing the passer it's what sets him apart from others at his position.

I just think the superstar vs star vs not a star topic is just flat out dumb. I really couldn't care less.
