Was Justin Smith not a great player because he didn't put up double digits sacks year after year?
Stats are for loosers
No one is even talking about sacks. We are talking about general disruption. Take Bosa for example. He doesn't even have 10 sacks this season, but he is all over the field pressuring the QB, blowing up plays, redirecting runs and so on. The funny thing is, they know he's coming, they just cant stop him.
Buck on the other hand does eat double teams, but for the most part he is neutralized. He's not splitting lineman, causing TFLs , shutting down the run or even collapsing pockets. Once in a while he'll do that, but not often.
I'm so sick of the "double team" argument. You don't think all great players are double and triple teamed? Yet, they find a way to impact the game and not just as a decoy or making it easier on everyone around them.
