Well done Buckner! Even with the East Coast bias the press shows respect for what he's done and means to the team. Well deserved!

And I don't remember what you said lol?
I said he's a good player but I don't consider him a superstar.

I think we can say superstar is a subjective term end of the day. Right/wrong there isn't a correct answer.
He's good enough to be an all-pro (2nd team) That's good enough for me.

Damn would have bet $$$ that Buck was higher. Still love the dude though.
Ah that's still very good, considering the amount of double teams he takes on....
268 snaps being double-teamed, 6th most in the NFL. Now, but we still need to figure out the total number of snaps of each DL to see which has the highest overall percentage of double-team frequency.

So now when he demands more than Fletcher Cox do we pay him?

He will be getting paid like a superstar very shortly. Especially with an all pro team on his resume.

Yup, inflation dude. Cap space goes up contracts go up.
Cox's deal was 3 yrs ago. Next big time DT will get more than Buck and so on and so on.
Also go look at Cox's deal it was never killing their cap space for like the 1st 4 yrs. they keep restructuring it pushing cash down the road while the cap goes up. Philly never has issues with being able to pay for their guys.
If Bucks deal is anything less than Coxs then it's a steal.

Well I never thought Cox was worth the deal he got. Therefore I'm probably not going to think Buck is worth the deal we give him. But as long as we are winning I guess my best coarse of action is to properly shut the f**k up.

Another interesting @PFF stat for 2109... Win rate on pass rushers vs. 2+ blockers. pic.twitter.com/F6H674bqMr

No. 5th year option. Franchise. Extend Kittle, AA before you touch Buckner. Who cares about inflation. That applies to literally every FA. And Niners have ample cap room starting in 2021.
There is absolutely no rush to extend Buckner. He is under team control.

From a defensive end position, Buckner got the lone sack against Seattle. I'd like to see Saleh put Buckner on the end as a matter of course on passing downs, at least in the next game.

Just looked up DEFENSIVE snap counts for those players, and double-team rates. Buckner is double-teamed the 9th most in the NFL.

97-C.Heyward 235 885 26.55%

Absolutely insane that Leonard Williams is doubled at that frequency. 2/3 of the time? Really. No one else is close.

Armstead has limited control by comparison. He also offers more as a pass rusher, a premium skill. That's why he is an obvious priority along with Kittle.
Buckner can be easily controlled. And if he's a "superstar" then who cares about the tag?
