Too be fair I don't think most of these guys are deserving of these max contracts (besides the elite QBs). Is what it is. The cap cane be manipulated and Parrag will do his thang

I wonder if he prefers to be on the 100 players.. or be on the 2nd Team All Pro?

Yeah okdkid and I have disagreed on that move. IMHO if I'm handing over $15M in GT cash I'd much prefer to tie that into a LT contract instead of one yr of play.

Buck is a guy who might get overpaid a little BUT he's shown to be very good, reliable, and is only 25. Like a lot of very good RELIABLE players you can always restructure his deal down the road to free up money. Philly is the perfect example. Cox and Lane Johnson are very good reliable players. They've restructured and given extensions to them (early) that have helped to create cap space.

There's no reason to think Buck couldn't play for SF for like the next 6+ yrs, that's a lot of time to move around money.

SF can resign AA/Buck/Kittle/Ward/Sanders if they restructure JG's deal which we all agree he's our LT option at QB now. They can free up like $12.5M by moving off Jet/Godwin/Coleman and can add even more cash giving extensions to Juice/Tarrt/Sherm.

Armstead has limited control by comparison. He also offers more as a pass rusher, a premium skill. That's why he is an obvious priority along with Kittle.

Buckner can be easily controlled. And if he's a "superstar" then who cares about the tag?

Um, wut? Easily controlled? Just dont see where you are going. Buckner is a fundamental of our D.

I don't know what to say man. I'm not sure where the internet exasperation is coming from. He is obviously the easiest to control of the three. They should extend him, obviously. But creating some arbitrary deadline this offseason is illogical when there are other priorities. I understand he is a fan favorite and that makes it hard to remain objective. But extending him this offseason is not essential.

Niners should easily have $30m in space. Likely much more.

He'll get signed as will AA.

Not sure about Ward

And does that even take into account how much the cap will increase. That probably will add a few extra million. Add in cutting Mckinnon and they should have more than enough

I may be mistaken, but isn't there too much of a penalty for cutting McKinnon or was that the case this year and we can wipe our hands during the offseason?

OTC already takes into account a $200M cap (factors in the raise).

They have plenty of options to create space and sign whomever
I wish we had enough money to sign a really good guard.

Kyle will never spend top cash on a OG

This is so true. Kyle provides us the advantage of not having to draft high end offensive players. We are the only team in the league with no first rounder at QB RB TE FB WR yet we have 13 players with Td catches. Kyle is an absolute stud. We could just keep drafting DLine forever in the first round and Kyle will just keep producing on offence. It's a magical formula that no other team in the nfl currently has.
