I just don't see 8.5 million worth of production if he's fully healthy. The extra 4 million is like keeping Ward who will give us that value in production if he is healthy.

Ya, especially considering the value Shanahan gets out of no-name guys. The hire doesn't really make sense, unless he really thought McKinnon was a McCafferey / Leveon Bell type.

Belichick has only drafted one offensive player in the first round that made the pro bowl and that was Gronk. He doesn't spend a lot on receivers , backs or O linemen. He was a defensive coach most of his career so that may have something to do with it.
