If we kept buck and traded armstead cut ford how much would we be down salary cap? Prolly zero or a few mil. Doesnt seem like such a bad deal buck produced more than both of them together last year.

Bottom line is that Buck was a cornerstone.

It's not about Buckner vs AA. It's Buckner vs Kinlaw. Kinlaw is the player we got to replace him and a player we wouldn't have gotten had we traded AA instead. If Kinlaw turns out to be great which is a possibility, This is not a bad move.

This right here is the problem with "discussions" in 2021.

Regardless of the season Armstead had in 2019...it was crystal clear that he was NOT bringing back a 1st round pick in a trade. CRYSTAL CLEAR.

Now in understanding this information...we still have people like 9moon that will push the "yea but what if we did" narrative.

That sets an undertone that the franchise whiffed at a potential trade that was never a realisitic possibility to begin with and thus they are "dumb" for trading Buckner.

When the reality is the urge to complain is at an all time high and not even factual statements or evidence will ever get in the way of that.
