Kinlaw better blow up this year, and that'll make the Buckner trade more palatable. But I hated the move then and nothing has occured to change my mind. The difference in salary between AA and Buck is chump change and the difference in their ability is vast. The 49ers kept the wrong guy.

Nah, also got Aiyuk as a result of the trade. Who is likely to be more impactful than everybody mentioned in your post.

No we didn't. We already had that 1st round pick.
The trade helped us get bucks replacement and aiyuk

But we didnt need his replacement lol. And it did nothing to help us get BA. I'm not sure how you're coming to that conclusion seeing how we got him with OUR 1st round pick.
We needed his replacement as we didn't want to meet bucks cost. The trade help get his replacement and it helped not wasting it on something other than WR. like keeping buck and having to draft DT with our original pick to replace buck the following year

Actually the trade did help get BA. We traded 13 to Tampa and they gave us a 4th rounder, which in turn we used to trade up for BA.

We were also able to resign Jimmie Ward. Had we kept Buckner, there's a high chance we would've lost him.

Would've much rather have kept Buckner over Ward and Armstead.

Team doctors need work too.
I'm optimistic of Kinlaw but we had a legitimate dual pro bowl tandem between Bosa and Buckner

Buck wasn't even the 2nd best DL when Bosa was playing. Buck couldn't even do anything last year.

FTFY

He was a top-5 ID last season.

that's not really saying anything.. did you watch him?

i made it my homework to really see if we lost a good one. def not worth the money he wanted.

Stood up at the line with no push
Mostly chasing ball carriers
had only two sacks up to week 11ish
Rest of his sacks came against the two worst teams in FB last year.

While he finished towards the top of his position, there really isn't a lot of great DT and huge gap between him Donald
Beast

Letting him go was a mistake. Couple that with having to see armstead on the field makes it hurt twice as much
