The 49ers finished top 10 in points allowed, run defense/yds per carry, top 5 in pass defense and QB sacks and top 3 in yards allowed without him.

Agree. A good player. But not worth the cost. Colts fans are having some buyer's remorse. Seven sacks.
seven sacks given that he is not a pass rusher is very good.

Yes. Very good. But not special.

He's a top 3 DT in the NFL without question. Don't have to bash on the guy just because he's not with the 49ers anymore.

I find it weird that people can't praise Armstead for elevating his game without also taking shots at Buckner.

He was top 2 last year and I expect another all pro nod this year. Colts literally led the league in turnover differential with one of the best defenses and had the leagues best RB on offense and still Wentz found ways to lose.

He did get another All Pro nod this year. He's been dealing with a knee injury for the past month, to the point where he reportedly had trouble walking the past couple of weeks. Its not his fault that the Colts underachieved.
I don't know, I personally drown for Buckner to the last. Especially in connection with the recent events at the Colts.

Your DT rankings, sir? Thanks.
Seems like Buckner is disappointing in Indy given his contract.

I'm not ready to say the 49ers won that trade especially since Kinlaw has a lot to prove but it's starting to feel like it was the right move to make.

It was the right move then and now. Kinlaw hasn't worked out yet, but the D got better (run D). We kept more guys, which was our goal. If Kinlaw does work out, it becomes a slam dunk.

Also, what makes you say he has disappointed in Indy? He made an All-Pro team and two Pro Bowls in 2 seasons. What more could you or they want?

It's ironic......all the Colts good karma from Manning leaving and getting Luck has really swung 180 degrees. They look to be in deep trouble hitching the wagon to Matt Ryan.....we shall see, though, as the saving grace is being in the AFC South - what a mess of a division right now.

Yep, right move, I was disappointed to lose DeFo, but AA has come on, plus we wouldn't have guys like Trent signed to the deal he is signed too, can't keep everyone.

How has he been disappointing?? Because Indy is s**tty right now?? If I'm not mistaken but I think Buckner has made the top 100 every year since he was traded.

Buckner is a player who makes everyone around him better. Much rather have kept him than Armstead and Jimmie Ward.

top 100 is nothing

and if you mean helping everyone else by getting stonewalled by one guy the majority of every game.. so be it
