The whole point of having many picks is having the ammo to move up. I like this. There are no guarantees he'd be there tomorrow and everyone pretty much wanted him at our pick in the 2nd. If you're afraid he won't be there, move up the 9 picks and get the extra 5th year on his contract while you're at it. Solid.

Nobody would give up an early 4th and a 6th for a 1st. We have to give back our 2nd 37 to get their 1st (9 spots moved up). so KC's first pick of the draft is our 37 since they gave us their 1st.

Also what is the likelihood brown plays guard?
Staley, garnett, ?????, Brown, Davis.
That could be a mean line.

I like the trade up...he's a guy obviously Kelly & Baalke wanted a lot. Coach Shaw was absolutely beaming after the Niners picked his guy...said Niner fans will love JG because he's big, nasty and will definitely help solidify what could turn out to be a pretty darn good OL next season. He also emphasized how much Coach Kelly loves to run the football. He just got a stud to help him do just that.

Not At all, the FO did not give up to much to get the " Outland" winner in this draft..... Great move by our FO

How do you guys think Garnett compares to Jack Conklin? They both seem to be physical maulers in the run game.
