Staley, garnett, ?????, Brown, Davis.
That could be a mean line.
I think it will be Staley Beadles Kilgore Garnett Brown. AD is not going to come back. He's made that clear imo. Either the 49ers trade his rights, or he's permanently retired.
This reminds me when they traded up for Anthony Davis. He wasn't supposed to be selected so high bu they did it anyways and in between picks Earl Thomas was selected.
I am not saying I don't like the pick, just don't see the reason to trade up with Whitehair available.
HOLY $#!T!!!! I am a die hard Stanford fan, and that video did it for me.
I like the pick, and not just because he's from my favorite college team.
We drafted arguably the best defensive lineman and arguably the best guard today.
People are criticizing what we gave up, but we swapped a 6th for a 7th, and our 2nd for their 1st. That said, we truly "only" gave up a 4th round pick for a player that can start day-1.
I love this move.
This.
I would make that trade 100 out of 100 times.
We didn't have to give up an additional 1st or 2nd next year for an additional first this year! With that said, to bring in a player like JG from right down the road at Stanford (no adjustment to the bay area needed might I add)! At a position of need, I can go on and on!
Loving this pick even more seeing the Hawks went for Ifedi. Would have sucked if it was the other way around... Garnett is a much safer prospect and a critical piece of the puzzle for Kelly.

Definitely liking this lineup. Although I'm saying that having not watched any film on him yet. There must me something Baalke and presumably Kelly like that fits into their scheme though.

And we got back at Seattle for messing up our Kaep trade.

You trade up to screw seattle back for screwing us on the denver trade for kap.
They effectively made us stick with a guy who they know cant beat their team by doing that.
A little revenge while addressing a need is perfect.
On another note, during this great run, finally we draft a top guy from Stanford. I don't count the other guys we have brought in as top guys, even though Skov was pretty damn good.
surprised that people don't realize that he would have went to Seattle at the end of the round.they have a huge hole at guard.Sure they were pumped and we stole him.
